    • A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for recognizing a voice input to an interactive voice recognition system is presented. An initial caller voice input is received from a caller. In response to determining that the initial caller voice input is a computer-unintelligible voice input that does not match any entry from a lexicon of known voice inputs, the caller is prompted to transmit a secondary input to clarify the computer-unintelligible voice input. The secondary input is utilized to match the computer-unintelligible voice input with a specific known voice input from the lexicon of known voice inputs. The lexicon of known voice inputs is then updated with the computer-unintelligible voice input.

    • A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product recognizes a voice input received by an interactive voice recognition system. An unintelligible voice input is received from a caller. The unintelligible voice input is unintelligible to a computer due to background noise at a caller environment of the caller. Upon determining that the unintelligible voice input does not match any entry from a lexicon of known voice inputs, the caller is prompted to transmit a non-verbal electronic input to clarify the unintelligible voice input. This non-verbal electronic input is used to match the unintelligible voice input with a specific known voice input from the lexicon of known voice inputs, which is updated with the unintelligible voice input. The updated lexicon is subsequently used in future phone calls from the user to match the unintelligible voice input to the user-requested activity for the caller.

    • A call routing test and verification system for an interactive voice response (IVR) system including an automated test driver (ATD) for connecting to a IVR system over a public switched telephone network (PSTN) configured to provide signals representative of content of utterances appropriate for responding to prompt signals of an IVR menu and a test module to enable a test mode of the IVR system in response to the connection by ATD, wherein the test mode allows the IVR system to transmit a call routing string to the ATD prior to transfer of the connection to one of a plurality of agent terminals in response to reaching a call routing point of the IVR menu, where the ATD is further configured to compare at least a portion of the transmitted call routing string to an expected routing string for the call routing point.

    • A method (10) and system (50) for using a biometrically enabled password can include an input device (58) capable of entering a password entry and a processor (56) coupled to the input device. The processor can monitor (16 or 26) a cadence such as monitoring a keystroke signature, store the cadence of the password entry, compare (28) the cadence of a subsequent password entry with the cadence of at least one previous password entry, establish (30) a stability metric with respect to the cadences compared, and require (32) both the password entry and the cadence once the cadence meets the stability metric. The processor can require only the password entry until the stability metric for the cadence is achieved. The processor can also determine (14) if the password entry is new and optionally require (18) only the password entry to enter the system if determined as new.
