摘要： An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display and a method of driving the same are provided. The OLED display includes: a plurality of pixels arrayed in a matrix, each of which includes a switching transistor and a driving transistor; a plurality of data lines connected to the switching transistors, which transmit a data voltage to the pixels; a plurality of driving voltage lines that transmit a driving voltage to the driving transistors; a voltage generator that applies the driving voltage to the driving voltage lines; a current sensing unit that senses a driving current that flows from the voltage generator to the driving voltage lines; a gray voltage generator that generates a gray voltage depending on a change in the driving current; and a data driver that converts an input image signal into the data voltage on the basis of the gray voltage and applies the data voltage to the data lines.

摘要： A more simplified organic light-emitting display (OLED) apparatus includes a display panel, gate and data driving circuit parts. The display panel includes an organic light-emitting element having an organic light-emitting layer disposed between first and second electrodes, to emit light. Driving and common voltages are respectively applied to the first and second electrodes. A gate driving circuit part is connected to a first side of the display panel to apply a gate signal, and the gate circuit driving part also applies the common voltage to a first common electrode formed at the first side and is electrically connected to the second electrode. A data driving circuit part is connected to a second side of the display panel to apply a data signal, and the data driving part also applies the common voltage to a second common electrode formed at a third side and electrically connected to the second electrode.

摘要： In a display apparatus and a driving method thereof, image data corresponding to plural different positions of a display panel are added to each other, and a sum of the image data of a present frame is compared with a sum of the image data of a previous frame to determine whether an image displayed on the display panel is a still image or not. While a still image is displayed, brightness of the display panel is gradually lowered. Accordingly, the display panel may prevent occurrence of afterimages and deterioration of organic electroluminescent light emitting devices, as well as reduce power consumption.
