摘要： A system for allocating communications resources for telematics communications includes a service provider, a gateway, a currently paired mobile device having at least first and second communications channels through which communication occurs to the service provider, sensing speed or acceleration of the mobile device based on internal data, detecting changes in speed or acceleration based upon the internal data, and determining that an event notification is to be sent to the service provider based upon the detected change in the speed or acceleration. A telematics device has at least a third communications channel through which communication occurs to the service provider. The telematics device and/or the mobile device determines which of the first, second, and third communications channels is to be used to communicate to the service provider and the respective one of the telematics device and the mobile device sends the event notification to the service provider.

摘要： A method and system for providing emergency call (e-call) services is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a voice call from a vehicle. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center over the voice call. Location information is received from the vehicle at the third-party service center in response to the signaling. Information is forwarded from the voice call and the location information to a public safety answering point (PSAP) determined by the third-party service center.

摘要： A system for allocating communications resources for telematics communications is provided. The system includes a service provider, a gateway, and a telematics device. The telematics device: initiates a telematics communication between the telematics device and the service provider via a network; determines whether a network resource allocation for the telematics communication is still required based upon user intent information; and sends a notification of a change in the network resource allocation via a secondary communication channel. The secondary communication channel can be one of a first link coupled to the gateway and a second link coupled to the telematics device.

摘要： A method for providing information to a third party about a driver of a vehicle having a telematics system and a VIN, the telematics system comprising a positioning module, a telematics unit, a mobile device of the driver having a unique ID, and an integrated communication device of the vehicle, includes the steps of identifying the mobile device of the driver with at least one of the integrated communication device and the telematics unit, generating data from the positioning module as the driver operates the vehicle, transmitting the generated data, the VIN, and the ID of the mobile device of the driver outside the vehicle, generating a driving behavior report from the transmitted data, VIN, and ID, and utilizing the driving behavior report to determine an insurance premium to charge the driver or the owner of the vehicle.

摘要： A system for providing telematics to a vehicle is provided. The system includes an integrated communication device of the vehicle having a memory holding a list uniquely identifying at least one mobile communication device. The system includes a telematics component that is communicatively connected to the integrated communication device of the vehicle and has a data pump that sends out a request for information. An off-site telematics information provider receives a request for information from the telematics component utilizing a communications path between the data pump of the telematics component and the off-site telematics information provider. The at least one mobile communication device automatically receives a channeled response to the request for information from the off-site telematics information provider when connected to the integrated communication device.

摘要： A method providing vehicle incident call services to a user is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a voice call from a vehicle. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center and, in response to the signaling, the third-party service center receives from the vehicle, location information comprising at least the latitude and longitude coordinates of the vehicle. An interactive voice recognition (IVR) system located at the third-party service center is used to determine if the latitude and longitude coordinates are valid. If the coordinates are determined to be valid, the third-party service center provides the user with a selection of vehicle-incident non-emergency response services.

摘要： A method for providing telematics to a vehicle comprises providing a telematics unit with a Global Positioning System device, a data pump, and a short range wireless personal area network transceiver, communicatively connecting the telematics unit to an integrated communication device of the vehicle, the integrated communication device having a memory holding a list uniquely identifying at least one mobile communication device selected from a currently paired mobile communication device, a previously paired mobile communication device, and a pre-defined mobile communication device, transmitting an alert out from the telematics unit to an off-site telematics provider utilizing a communications path of the data pump, and receiving a channeled response to the alert from the off-site telematics provider automatically through the at least one mobile communication device.
