摘要： An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a correction unit and a display control unit. The correction unit corrects, for correcting deterioration of an image to be projected on the basis of image information including a pixel value of each pixel, the pixel value of each pixel included in the image information. The display control unit changes, for a pixel whose pixel value exceeds an upper limit value by the correction, the pixel value to a value equal to or smaller than the upper limit value and increases display luminance of the pixel exceeding the upper limit value within the image to be projected.
