摘要： Sound damping compositions and methods for their application are described herein. The compositions can include a polymer, a polyacrylate rheology modifier, and a polyurethane rheology modifier. The compositions can alternatively include a polymer derived from greater than 80% of one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, methyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate and combinations thereof and greater than 0% and less than 4% of one or more functional monomers, at least one rheology modifier, and a surfactant. Also described herein are sound damping products including the compositions described herein and structures including the sound damping products. Methods for damping sound in a structure are further described herein. The methods include applying the compositions to the surface of a structure and drying the composition.

摘要： The present invention relates to a surfactant mixture comprising (A) a short-chain component comprising the alkoxylation product of alkanols, where the alkanols have 8 to 12 carbon atoms and the average number of alkoxy groups per alkanol group in the alkoxylation product assumes a value from 3 to 30 and the alkoxy groups are chosen from the group consisting of ethoxy, propoxy, butoxy and pentoxy groups and the alkanols have an average degree of branching of at least 1; and (B) a long-chain component comprising the alkoxylation product of alkanols where the alkanols have 13 to 20 carbon atoms and the average number of alkoxy groups per alkanol group in the alkoxylation product assumes a value from 3 to 30 and the alkoxy groups are chosen from the group consisting of ethoxy, propoxy, butoxy and pentoxy groups and the alkanols have an average degree of branching of from 0.0 to 0.3; and phosphate esters, sulfate esters and ether carboxylates thereof. In addition, the present invention relates to a formulation comprising such surfactant mixtures, and to the use of these, for example for the cleaning of hard surfaces.

摘要： A method of making an alkoxylated polyethyleneimine (APEI) product having reduced discoloration includes treating a composition including a component selected from the group of polyethyleneimine (PEI), alkoxylated polyethyleneimine (APEI) intermediate, and combinations thereof that is used to make the APEI product. The method of treating the composition includes adding water to the composition in an amount of from 2 to 20 parts by weight, based on the total weight of the composition. The water is stripped from the composition within a relatively low temperature range of from 158 to 203° F. until less than or equal to 0.2 parts by weight of water, based on the total weight of the composition, is present in the composition. The aqueous solutions of APEI product thus made have Gardner color values of less than 6.
