    • An optical module including a first integration rod, a polarization beam splitting unit, a first reflector, a first quarter-wave plate, and a light source is provided. The first integration rod has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The polarization beam splitting unit is disposed at a side of the first end.     • An illumination system including a light integration rod, light source modules and a light guide element is provided. The light integration rod has a light incident end and a light exit end. The light source modules are disposed adjacent to the light incident end, and each light source module is suitable for providing a converging light beam. The light guide element is disposed adjacent to the light incident end and between the light source modules for guiding each light beam to be incident to the light integration rod. The optical axes of the light beams are parallel to each other and a distance exists between any two optical axes of the light beams.     • A polarization conversion system includes at least one beam splitting and combining unit having a polarization beam splitting element and a dichroic element, a dichroic unit, a polarization beam splitting unit, a first half wave plate (HWP) and a second half wave plate. The polarization beam splitting element reflects a first portion beam of the first light beam and allows a second portion beam of the first light beam to pass through. The dichroic unit reflects the first portion beam. The polarization beam splitting unit reflects a third portion beam of a second light beam and allows a fourth portion beam of the second light beam to pass through, and the dichroic element reflects the third portion beam. In addition, the first HWP is disposed between the beam splitting and combining unit and the polarization beam splitting unit, while the second HWP is disposed between the beam splitting and combining unit and the dichroic unit.

    • A LED illumination device includes a tapered light guiding member, a LED, a reflective polarizer and a quarter-wave retarder. The light guiding member includes a light input surface and an opposite light output surface. The LED includes a LED chip and a reflective substrate on which the LED chip is mounted. The LED chip faces toward the light input surface. The reflective polarizer faces toward the light output surface, and allows a first polarization light to pass therethrough and reflects a second polarization light back into the light guiding member. The quarter-wave retarder is provided between the LED and the reflective polarizer. The reflective substrate reflects the second polarization light reflected by the reflective polarizer so as to make the second polarization light convert into the first polarization light after the light passes through the quarter-wave retarder a plurality of times.

    • An assembly for the endoscope is composed of a tubular member, a positioning ring, and a sleeve. The tubular member on its external wall includes a first threaded portion and a second threaded portion spaced from the first threaded portion.
