    • The disclosure relates to a method and a node for estimating other cell interference in a radio network node (300) providing an own cell serving at least one radio device in a radio network. The method comprises measuring a load utilization, relating to the load utilized by said at least one radio device. The method also comprises estimating a load utilization probability based at least on the measured load utilization, a previously estimated load utilization probability and a previously estimated interference-and-noise sum. The method also comprises estimating an interference-and-noise sum based at least on the measured load utilization, a measured received total wideband power (RTWP) the estimated load utilization probability and the previously estimated interference-and-noise sum. The method also comprises checking whether the estimated load utilization probability and/or estimated interference-and-noise sum and/or any algorithm value derived from any of the estimates, is within a predefined range.

    • Recovery control is provided for recovering data packet flow control between a network node (14) and a radio base station (18) over a radio network interface (2). The base station communicates with at least one user equipment, UE, (10) over a radio interface (3) and measures information relating to a data transmission rate over the radio interface and an amount of a downlink packet queue (22) in the base station associated with the UE communication. In one embodiment, the base station sends at least some of the measurement information to the network node. A process controller (52, 40, 84) in the network node processes the measurement information to determine a desired amount to be stored in the downlink packet queue. The process controller determines a commanded bit rate to transmit data from the network node to the downlink packet queue based on the determined desired amount and transmits data to the radio base station in accordance with the commanded bit rate.

The radio network node measures a received total power value at the radio network node (12) in the first cell (11). The radio network node (12) computes a factor indicating a load in the first cell (11). The radio network node (12) estimates a noise floor level in the first cell (11). The radio network node (12) computes a utilization probability value of the load in the first cell (11) and a neighbour cell interference value simultaneously in a non-linear interference model. This is based on the measured received total power value, the computed factor,and the estimated noise floor level in the first cell (11), which neighbour cell interference value is an interference from at least one second cell (14) affecting said first cell (11), and where at least one of the utilization probability value of the load in the first cell (11) and the neighbour cell interference value is to be used for managing radio resources in the radio communications network.
