摘要： An image processor that corrects image signals corresponding to sub-pixels which form one pixel includes: a shift amount storage section that stores shift amounts of display positions of display sub-pixels corresponding to the sub-pixels which form a display pixel with respect to a predetermined reference position within a display image; and an image signal correcting section that corrects image signals corresponding to sub-pixels, which form each pixel of an input image, on the basis of the shift amounts stored in the shift amount storage section. The image signal correcting section corrects image signals in which dummy image signals corresponding to dummy sub-pixels, which are provided outside sub-pixels in an endmost portion of the input image, are added to input image signals of the sub-pixels.

The four sub-pixels forming each of the display pixels are located such that two sub-pixels having a smaller level of luminance are located at edges of the display pixel, each of the two sub-pixels being located at either edge of the display pixel, and such that two other sub-pixels are located at a central portion of the display pixel so that an absolute value of a difference between a luminance added value, which is a value obtained by adding luminance levels of one of the sub-pixels located at the edges of the display pixel and an adjacent pixel, and a luminance added value, which is a value obtained by adding luminance levels of the other sub-pixel located at the edge of the display pixel and an adjacent pixel, is reduced.

摘要： An image processing device outputs four-color image data to a display section, the display section performing display using display pixels each composed of four sub-pixels, and having an arrangement of the display pixels in which a pixel arrangement in an even line of a scan lines and a pixel arrangement in an odd line of the scan lines are shifted a half pitch of the display pixels from each other, and the image processing device includes a color conversion section which obtains three-color image data and converts the three-color image data into first four-color image data while maintaining the number of display pixels in the three-color image data, a conversion section which generates second four-color image data by performing an interpolation process on the first four-color image data based on a relationship between a position of a sub-pixel in the first four-color image data and a position of a sub-pixel in the display section, and an output section which outputs the second four-color image data to the display section.
