摘要： Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

摘要： A mobile station is configured to support handover from a source base station to a target base station. The mobile station receives signaling from the target base station that indicates Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) protocol data units which have been successfully received at the target base station. In response, the mobile station generates further PDCP protocol data units for missing PDCP service data units from corresponding PDCP service data units buffered at the mobile station. The generating comprises using a different header compression state from that which was used for the missing PDCP service data units and ciphering specific to a connection with the target base station. The mobile station transmits the further PDCP protocol data units to the target base station.

摘要： The present solution relates to a method in a user equipment for configuring a cell change procedure to be used for handover in a wireless communication network. The user equipment is situated in a serving cell and comprises an active set of cells. The active set of cells comprises a list of cells to which the user equipment can move from the serving cell. The user equipment sends a request to a network controller comprised in the wireless communication network to add at least one further cell to the active set. The user equipment then receives the requested active set update from the network controller. The received active set update comprises the at least one further cell to be added to the active set and a list of cells to which a modified cell change procedure shall be used for handover. A neighbour cell which is stronger than a current serving cell is detected. This detected stronger neighbour cell is matching with the received list of modified cell change procedure cells, and the modified cell change procedure for the handover to the stronger neighbour cell is applied if the stronger neighbour cell is found matching a cell on the list.

摘要： A method of operation of a wireless communication device to perform handover from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless communication system is provided. The wireless communication device performs (202) a beam tracking procedure for one or more neighbor cells to provide, for each neighbor cell, a list of tracked beams for the neighbor cell. The wireless communication device receives (212) a handover command from a source radio access node that instructs the wireless communication device to perform a handover from a source cell served by the source radio access node to a target cell served by a target radio access node. The target cell is one of the one or more neighbor cells for which the beam tracking procedure is performed. The wireless communication device then selects (214) a beam of the target cell from the list of tracked beams for the target cell based on random access resource configuration and/or a quality threshold. The wireless communication device then performs (216) random access on the selected beam.

The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology. Variants of this method, corresponding apparatuses, and corresponding network-side methods and apparatuses are also disclosed.

An access category may be determined from a plurality of access categories and at least one access identity may be determined from a plurality of access identities to be applied for an access attempt. An establishment cause may be determined for the access attempt based on the access category determined from the plurality of access categories and based on the at least one access identity from the plurality of access identities. A connection request message for the access attempt may be transmitted to a wireless communication network, with the connection request message including the establishment cause determined based on the access category and based on the at least one access identity. Related devices are also discussed.
