摘要： A method for performing a search in a browser is provided. The method includes receiving one or more keywords entered in a current search engine and searching data from the current search engine based on the entered keywords. The method also includes displaying a search engine results page from the current search engine to a user and displaying alternative search engines when detecting that an operation event of the user in the search engine results page meets preset switching criteria. Further, the method includes extracting a search web address template corresponding to an alternative search engine selected by the user and loading the entered keywords into the search web address template corresponding to the selected alternative search engine to search data from the alternative search engine. In addition, the method includes displaying a search engine results page from the selected alternative search engine.

摘要： This application discloses a target object display method applied to a computing device. The computing device receives an identifier information combination from a communications device. The identifier information combination is generated by the communications device after identifying identifiers in radio frequency tags of at least two entities and combining the identified identifiers. After parsing the identifier information combination to obtain the at least two identifiers in the identifier information combination, the computing device obtains target objects having the identifiers and then invokes an application associated with the obtained target objects. Finally, the computing device displays, using the application, the obtained target objects in a combined manner on a display screen according to a pre-stored location relationship between target objects, the target objects having the identifiers being virtual images corresponding to entities having the identifier in a radio frequency identifier.

摘要： A computer-implemented method is performed by a client machine to establish communication with a data server. The client machine sends a first communication request to a directory server having information concerning available data servers that provide specific data to the client machine. The client machine further determines whether a first socket is established to allow communication with the directory server within a first predetermined period of time. When the first socket is established, the client machine receives the information concerning the available data servers from the directory server and establishes a target socket with a data server selected from the available data servers for receiving the specific data. However, when the first socket is not established, the client machine sends more communication requests to secondary servers according to a predetermined order, until the client machine receives the information concerning the available data servers or the specific data.

The method comprises monitoring the page browsing mode of a browser while running the browser; determining a changed page browsing mode, if the page browsing mode of the browser is changed; and displaying a tips button on the current page of the browser, if the changed page browsing mode is a specified mode. The apparatus comprises a monitoring module, a determining module, and a displaying module. Thereby, the tips-making process while switching modes is simplified. The tips button is displayed on a specific location to remind users, without breaking the continuous browsing via the browser, so that non-trace switch can be achieved when the browser changes its page browsing mode.
