摘要： A method for configuring access point network settings using a data connection setting application operating on a wireless device is disclosed. The data connection setting application is operable to accesses settings configuration and data from a memory and/or a SIM card, and compare it with wireless network requirements to determine whether the settings need to be reconfigured. Based on the determination, the data connection setting application can enable the display of instructions to a user and provide tools to fill in information required to reconfigure the wireless device according to wireless network requirements for the specific wireless device.

Specifically, the wireless access point includes a metering client to track one of data usage or an amount of prepaid data available. When the metering client indicates that the amount of data available has dropped below a pre-determined threshold, the wireless access point inhibits further data transmission.

摘要： Selecting one of a plurality of direct inward dialing numbers for dialing an international number preceded by a direct inward dialing number is disclosed. A destination phone number to be dialed by a wireless device is initially received at the wireless device. It is then determined that the destination phone number is an international destination phone number. In response to the determination that the destination phone number is an international destination phone number, one direct inward dialing number is selected from among a plurality of direct inward dialing numbers. The selected one direct inward dialing number connects the wireless device to a server. Next, the wireless device dials the one selected direct inward dialing number and determines that a connection between the wireless device and the server has been established. Finally, the international destination phone number is forwarded to the server.

摘要： A method, device and system are provided for scheduling the delivery of messages from a wireless device in order to reduce congestion on the wireless network used by the wireless device. A message scheduler application operating on the wireless device intercepts messages being sent from at least one application running on the wireless device to a device layer for transmission, where intercepted messages are collected and held in a message queue for later transmission. The message scheduler monitors operation of the wireless device to detect the establishment of a communication connection, such as a voice call or packet data session, and causes the messages in the message queue to be transmitted from the wireless device utilizing logical channels assigned to the wireless device when setting up the communication connection that are different from the traffic channel assigned for the communication connection to transmit voice or data content.
