    • An embodiment provides an image forming apparatus including: a photo conductor; a charging unit that charges the surface of the photo conductor by using corona discharge; a fixing device that fixes a toner image transferred on a recording medium from the photo conductor; a plurality of fans that discharges air containing ozone produced by charging of the charging unit to the outside of the apparatus, by generating the flow of the air from the inside of the apparatus to the outside of the apparatus; an information acquiring unit that acquires at least any one of print process information, which is information on a print process, or apparatus information, which is information on the internal environment of the apparatus; a reference determining unit that determines whether the print process or the internal environment of the apparatus satisfies the reference by using the print process information or the apparatus information that is acquired by the information acquiring unit; and an operation control unit including a first control mode that operates and stops the fans and the fixing device when the reference determining unit determines that the reference is not satisfied, and a second control mode that is performed before the first control mode is performed and stops the fixing device while driving the fans, when the reference determining unit determines that the reference is satisfied.

    • A fixing device includes a fixing belt, exercitation coils for induction-heating the fixing belt, power supplies that supply high-frequency power to the excitation coils, an output power detecting circuit that detects output electric energy of the power supplies, a power control circuit that controls the output electric energy of the power supplies, and temperature sensors that detect the temperature of a surface portion of the fixing belt. When electric energy applied to the excitation coils during the power fall reaches minimum power set in advance larger than 0 W, the power control circuit maintains the minimum power while the temperature detected by the temperature sensors is within a predetermined control temperature range and controls output power of the induction heating power supplies to shift from the minimum power to 0 W when the detected temperature deviates from the predetermined control temperature range.

    • A fixing apparatus includes a fixing device which fixes a developer image onto a transferred body, by passing the transferred body, between a first roller and a second roller. A cleaning member, provided in contact with the first roller, removes the developer image adhered onto the first roller at the time of fixing the developer image. A feeding device feeds the cleaning member by a predetermined amount to change a contact position thereof to the first roller. A counter counts the number of pixels of the image. A control device operates the feeding device to feed the cleaning member on the basis of the number of pixels counted by the counter.
