摘要： A system for allocating communications resources for telematics communications includes a service provider, a gateway, a currently paired mobile device having at least first and second communications channels through which communication occurs to the service provider, sensing speed or acceleration of the mobile device based on internal data, detecting changes in speed or acceleration based upon the internal data, and determining that an event notification is to be sent to the service provider based upon the detected change in the speed or acceleration. A telematics device has at least a third communications channel through which communication occurs to the service provider. The telematics device and/or the mobile device determines which of the first, second, and third communications channels is to be used to communicate to the service provider and the respective one of the telematics device and the mobile device sends the event notification to the service provider.

摘要： A method and system for providing emergency call (e-call) services is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a voice call from a vehicle. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center over the voice call. Location information is received from the vehicle at the third-party service center in response to the signaling. Information is forwarded from the voice call and the location information to a public safety answering point (PSAP) determined by the third-party service center.

摘要： A system for allocating communications resources for telematics communications is provided. The system includes a service provider, a gateway, and a telematics device. The telematics device: initiates a telematics communication between the telematics device and the service provider via a network; determines whether a network resource allocation for the telematics communication is still required based upon user intent information; and sends a notification of a change in the network resource allocation via a secondary communication channel. The secondary communication channel can be one of a first link coupled to the gateway and a second link coupled to the telematics device.

摘要： A system and method for implementing a server-based speech recognition system for multi-modal automated interaction in a vehicle includes receiving, by a vehicle driver, audio prompts by an on-board human-to-machine interface and a response with speech to complete tasks such as creating and sending text messages, web browsing, navigation, etc. This service-oriented architecture is utilized to call upon specialized speech recognizers in an adaptive fashion. The human-to-machine interface enables completion of a text input task while driving a vehicle in a way that minimizes the frequency of the driver's visual and mechanical interactions with the interface, thereby eliminating unsafe distractions during driving conditions. After the initial prompting, the typing task is followed by a computerized verbalization of the text. Subsequent interface steps can be visual in nature, or involve only sound.

摘要： Methods and a system for in-vehicle contextual promotions are described herein. In a first method a driver receives in-vehicle promotions on a predetermined route and user-defined favorite vendors. The driver taps on the promotion and receives a list of favorite items. The driver makes a selection of one of the favorite items, makes a payment for the selected product using an e-wallet, and picks up the selected product. The driver may also receive loyalty rewards. In a second method, the driver may receive an in-vehicle promotion, including a “remind me later” link. When the user taps on the link, they may access the promotion at a later time on the user's mobile phone app. The user taps on the saved link and is redirected to a vendor's website. The user may make a purchase for a product at the vendor's website at this later time.

摘要： A method providing vehicle incident call services to a user is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a communication from a vehicle over at least one data channel. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center and, in response to the signaling, die third-party service center receives from the vehicle, location information comprising at least the latitude and longitude coordinates of the vehicle. An interactive voice recognition (IVR) system located at the third-party service center is used to determine if the latitude and longitude coordinates are valid. If the coordinates are determined to be valid, the third-party service center provides the user with a selection of vehicle-incident non-emergency response services.

摘要： A method for providing telematics to a vehicle comprises providing a telematics unit with a Global Positioning System device, a data pump, and a short range wireless personal area network transceiver, communicatively connecting the telematics unit to an integrated communication device of the vehicle, the integrated communication device having a memory holding a list uniquely identifying at least one mobile communication device selected from a currently paired mobile communication device, a previously paired mobile communication device, and a pre-defined mobile communication device, transmitting an alert out from the telematics unit to an off-site telematics provider utilizing a communications path of the data pump, and receiving a channeled response to the alert from the off-site telematics provider automatically through the at least one mobile communication device.

The portion of the list is periodically transmitted out from the telematics component to an off-site telematics provider utilizing a communications path of the data pump.
