摘要： The present invention relates to a method for managing the automatic provision of a subscriber network identifier from a central network server to a subscribed communication device, the method comprising receiving notification at the central server relating to a change in the current location for the subscribed device, and determining from the notification whether a new subscriber network identifier is to be provisioned from the central server. The method further comprises selecting a subscriber network identifier on the basis of the current location, if the determining step has determined that a new subscriber network identifier is to be provisioned, and outputting the selected subscriber network identifier for transmission to the subscribed device. The present invention also relates to managing the automatic connection of a subscribed communication device to a network, where a preferred network and preferred subscriber network identifier may be used.

摘要： A method of managing identities for use in a mobile telecommunications device in a telecommunications network has the following features. The identity management process is triggered and one or more parameters of a currently available mobile telecommunications network detected. An identity database is searched—each record in the identity database comprises an identity and additional identity information for each identity. The additional identity information includes the one or more parameters. The identity management process involves selecting an identity when a first record comprising the one or more parameters detected is found in said searching and modifying an active identity of the mobile telecommunications device to be the selected identity when the active identity is not already the selected identity. This process can be carried out by a subscriber information module of a mobile telecommunications device.

Operating a communications-enable application includes detecting a need for data transmission when the mobile device has a communications status which is incompatible with the need and sending a request to activate a secure profile. Controlling the secure profile includes receiving a request from an application to have data session access via a secure profile and activating a data session utilising a secure profile. Operating the cellular network includes receiving a request to establish a cellular network data communications session from a mobile device including the communications-enabled application and establishing a data session with the mobile device using the secure profile. A mobile device and cellular network for performing the methods are also provided.

摘要： A method of managing identities for use in a mobile telecommunications device in a telecommunications network is described. First of all, an identity management process is triggered. After this, one or more parameters associated with the mobile telecommunications device is detected. The identity management process than has the following features. An identity management rule determined by the one or more parameters is detected. An identity database is then searched. Each record of the identity database comprises an identity and additional identity information for each identity, wherein the searching prioritizes records according to the identity management rule. An identity is then selected when a record conforming to the identity management rule is found in said searching. The active identity of the mobile telecommunications device is then changed to be the selected identity when the active identity is not already the selected identity. A subscriber identity module adapted for use with this method is described.

摘要： A method of recording media transmitted to or from a first party communicating through one of a plurality of mobile telecommunications networks with a second party is described. Either the first party or the second party initiates a call with the other party. One of a set of call splitters distributed through the plurality of telecommunications networks is then determined to be a local call splitter to one of the parties. A connection is then established between the first party and the local call splitter to split the call into a recording part and a call part. The call part is routed between the first party and the second party via the call splitter to provide transmission of media between the first party and the second party, and the recording part is provided by the local call splitter to a recording service associated with the first party. Suitable apparatus is also described, as are methods for recording the calls of a subscriber to a central recording station using a network trigger set or a SIM application set to divert the call to a recording node.
