摘要： A weed trimming head assembly includes a hub that has a plurality of arms each radiating outwardly between a central coupling and an outer ring. Each of the arms has a channel integrated into the arms and the channel extends between the central coupling and the outer ring. A plurality of trimming lines is provided and each of the trimming lines is slidably insertable into the channel in a respective one of the arms. Moreover, each of the trimming lines extends outwardly from the outer ring of the hub. In this way each of the trimming lines can trim grass when the hub is rotated by the weed trimmer.

摘要： A trimmer head for use with either clockwise or counterclockwise trimmer heads, including the use of a bidirectionally dispensing spool. Various locations of passages straight through the trimmer head and spool are shown along with various locations of components of the ratcheting mechanism to allow for winding of the trimmer line on the trimmer head and for limiting the amount of line dispensed during “bumping” of the trimmer head knob on the ground. Additionally, an extended funnel into the passage can be provided to facilitate entrance of trimmer line into the funnel even when the line is not perfectly straight. Also, spokes can be used in place of the flanges of the spool to save material and cost, while still providing a guide and barrier between the line store areas.

The trimmer head comprising a housing including a main housing and a lower cover, and wherein the main housing contains a pair of opposed eyelets through which trimmer line is discharged. A first set of a plurality of ramps located on an inside surface of the main housing and a second set of a plurality of ramps located within a center barrel of the spool. The two sets of ramps interact to control the direction of releasing line from the trimmer head and forcing indexing of the spool when the bump knob is bumped.

摘要： A trimmer head for a string trimmer mower, including a trimmer head housing having a string retention portion and a coupler portion rotatably attached to the string retention portion, the string retention portion having a first string retainer for releasably retaining a first cutting string. In addition, the string retention portion has a second string retainer for releasably retaining a second cutting string. The second string retainer is preferably circumferentially displaced on the string retention portion from the first string retainer. In a preferred embodiment, the first string retainer has a slidable clamp disposed in the interior and accessible from the exterior. The clamp is constructed and arranged for sliding relative to the base between a clamping position for selectively retaining the string in place through centrifugal force in the string retention portion, and a release position for user replacement of the first cutting string without tools.

摘要： A combination blade and cord weed cutter-trimmer head apparatus that incorporates a mounting head, having a base plate, that mounts an electric or gas motor, its motor shaft extending downwardly, and through an adapter connects with generally through the cutter blade, with the shaft extending further downwardly for connecting with the string trimmer head of the device. Thus, the device can cut thicker weeds and brush through the application of its cutter blade, and can cut the shortened weeds down to an acceptable level through the usage of the string trimmer. Slip clutches may be incorporated within the device, to allow the motor shaft to continue rotating, in the event that the cutter blade encounters an unmovable obstacle, that prevents its rotation. In a further embodiment, the lines of the string trimmer may extend radially outwardly from the cutter blades, through integral channels provided therein, to provide simultaneous cutting at the same level by both the cutter blade, and the string trimmer, during usage. In a further embodiment, the string trimmer head may locate above the cutter blade both securing onto the motor shaft and held by the adapter to provide for cutting of both weeds and brush during usage.
