摘要： A method for removing a plug of crop material stuck in a feeder duct of a baler including a bale chamber; a feeder duct communicating with a bale chamber feeder operable within the feeder duct to accumulate a charge of crop material therein and then stuff that accumulated charge into the bale chamber; and crop holding fingers provided at an upper end of the feeder duct to hold back the crop material while the charge of crop material is being accumulated. The method includes steps of in case of a plug of crop material being stuck in the feeder duct with the crop holding fingers in their crop holding position, moving the crop holding fingers in their withdrawn position and causing the feeder to operate in the feeder duct with the crop holding fingers in their withdrawn position.

摘要： The present invention relates generally to wood chippers and baling machines and methods of operation therefor, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed from such chipping activities. The apparatus includes a chipper assembly having a chipping mechanism operable to reduce the trimmed branches to wood chips. Also provided is a bale forming assembly operatively connected to the chipper assembly. The bale forming assembly has a housing and a baling mechanism contained within an interior space of the housing. The housing has an opening defined therein for receiving wood chips from the chipper assembly. The opening provides access to the interior space of the housing. The baling mechanism is operable to form a bale from the wood chips produced by the chipper assembly.

The stuffer unit is driven by the plunger and the gear box, and is movable through a stuffer cycle for transferring crop material in charges into the main bale chamber. The agricultural baler further includes a hydraulic brake associated with and configured for acting as a brake on the stuffer unit during a portion of the stuffer cycle.

摘要： An apparatus for inserting a tag into a bale of agricultural material during bale production is configured such that the tag is inserted within the bale material within reading distance of an outer surface of the final bale. In square bales, the tag is placed in either the first or last slice of the bale. In round bales, the tag is place in the outer circumferential layer of the bale as it is formed. The tag may be gravity fed or forcibly fed into the stream of crop material as it passes from the baling apparatus pick-up to the baling chamber.

摘要： An agricultural square baler equipped with a pre-compression chamber and configured to guide crop material towards and into the baling chamber where rectangular bales are formed. At least one of the upper and lower walls of the pre-compression chamber is formed by a conveyor belt, arranged to move from the supply towards the baling chamber. The conveyor belt has at least two portions configured to exert different friction forces on a batch of crop material, so that the high friction portion is capable of moving the batch into the baling chamber, whereas the low friction portion exerts a low force on the batch, thereby preventing material to be prematurely moved towards the baling chamber.
