摘要： A swim-aid device for supplying buoyant support throughout the torso, legs, and arms of a user so that the user can maintain a horizontal body position while in a body of water includes an outer shell. The outer shell can include a plurality of cavities fit to contain flotation devices that provide the user with buoyant support. The outer shell can further include a flexible torso band configured to adjust the size of the outer shell around the body of the user, and over-the-shoulder-straps configured to keep the user within the swim apparatus. Adjustable straps attach to the outer shell to allow the outer shell to couple around the body of the user. The swim-aid device provides the user with buoyant support and allows the user to have free range of motion of their arms and legs so that the user can practice swim movements.

摘要： A pediatric head covering to facilitate obtaining three-dimensional images of a head of an infant to be utilized in manufacture of a cranial remodeling orthosis for correction of an abnormal head shape comprises sheer elastic material to be drawn down over an infant's head to compress the hair of an infant and to provide a smooth surface over the infant's cranium. The elastic material has variable elasticity with less elasticity over the crown of the cranium to provide enough strength to compress the infant's hair and conform to the shape of the cranium and more elasticity at the infant's neck to control soft tissue of the infant's neck without leading to distortion of the soft tissue and causing misrepresentations of the actual neck shape in captured three-dimensional images. The head covering facilitates accurate capture and reproduction of three-dimensional images of the infant's head by a three-dimensional image capturing system. The head covering is sized based upon anthropometric data derived from three-dimensional data sets of infant heads.

摘要： A multipurpose infant positioning device that includes a lower pad with front and back surfaces, wings attached to lateral sides of the lower pad and a bottom flap attached to the bottom portion of the lower pad. At least one of the wings and bottom flap have fastening segments attached thereto for adjustably attaching these components to portions of the lower pad. The fastened wing and bottom flap are made of a material having sufficient resiliency to maintain and bring an infant back to flexed midline position within the infant positioning device. These infant positioning devices may further include a headpiece, brim, pocket at the back surface of the lower pad and a detachable readjustable multipurpose pillow for positioning the infant from and between supine, prone and side-lying positions, all while maintaining and reinforcing the flexed midline position of the infant for normal development.
