摘要： An apparatus for styling hair includes a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode. An electrolyte reservoir can be disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and is configured to maintain a volume of an electrolyte between the first electrode and the second electrode. A control module is electrically coupled to the first electrode and the second electrode. The control module is operable to bias the first electrode at a first potential and the second electrode at a second potential to create an electrical potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrical potential difference is configured to produce an electrolysis zone in the electrolyte disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrolysis zone is configured to style hair disposed in the electrolysis zone between the first electrode and the second electrode.

摘要： An applicator including an applying part of a liquid absorber impregnated with an application liquid. An indicator portion having a jagged configuration that varies in reflectance of light depending on the quantity of the application liquid in the liquid absorber is formed adjacent to the liquid absorber, and the formed area of the indicator portion of an application liquid feeder can be visually observed from the outside so that the quantity of the application liquid can be displayed by the reflected light of indicator portion. The applicator allows a visual check on whether the application liquid is full or less when the applicator is unused or when the application liquid is decreased after use, from the change of the reflectance of light in indicator. The applicator permits easy confirmation of the liquid quantity and can easily avoid liquid blobbing.

摘要： The liquid-dispensing comb includes a liquid reservoir in the handle and/or spine thereof, with the teeth of the comb being hollow to allow liquid to flow from the reservoir into the teeth. Outlets are provided along the sides of the teeth rather than at their distal tips, to distribute liquid to the hair strands as the comb is passed therethrough, rather than to the scalp of the person using the comb. Various embodiments include pneumatic devices for pressurizing the reservoirs of the combs, thus forcing liquid to flow from the outlets along the sides of the teeth. Another embodiment includes an internal plate with a series of stops thereon, the stops fitting into corresponding passages at the bases of the teeth. A handle extends from the spine of the comb, enabling the user to manipulate the internal plate to control flow from the reservoir and into the teeth.

A method of applying hair dye using the hair dye applicator includes loading hair dye onto the applicator dam at the carrier material, and applying hair dye to the hairline by inserting the comb of the applicator at a start of the hairline and running the applicator starting at the comb in a direction away from the start of the hairline toward the remainder of the hair to receive the hair dye.

摘要： A dye applicator including a head with a cavity (reservoir) and a plurality of bristles in the form of pins each covered with a sponge sleeve extending into the cavity and moistened with a catalyzed dye in the cavity by capillary action. A handle is connected to the head and includes a first container for receiving a dye compound, a second container for receiving a catalyst compound, a pump for each container, and a mixing chamber with a threaded compartment connected to the head cavity on one end, connected to the first container on the other end, and connected to the second container by a manifold for distributing the catalyst throughout the threaded compartment of the mixing chamber. A solenoid is positioned to actuate both pumps to deliver the dye and the catalyst separately to the mixing chamber and to deliver the mixed catalyzed dye to the head cavity. A selector switch allows a task to be selected and a processor, responsive to the selector switch and having an output connected to the solenoid, is configured to control the number of solenoid cycles based on the position of the selector for precise application of the dye based on the task selected.

摘要： A liquid-reservoir hairbrush that is capable of dispersing water-based and other thin and non-viscous liquids over the user's scalp during routine hair combing or brushing. The brush bristles are preferably mounted to a flexible base. An absorbent filler is placed into a chamber of the brush body and absorbent feed rods are placed into bores of the brush bristles. The absorbent filler is preferably made from sufficiently spongy and/or springy material and covered by the flexible base. Liquid outlets (viz., nozzles) are mounted at distal ends of the brush bristles and have a roller ball liquid distribution mechanism, which functions such that the liquid will exit the nozzle when its roller ball makes a rolling contact with the user's scalp. The absorbent feed rods interconnect the absorbent filler and the roller balls mounted within the nozzles. The chamber of the brush body can be divided into multiple, hermetically isolated sections. The brush body can have an optional filler inlet and can come with an optional liquid refilling unit which can hold a predetermine volume of the liquid. The hairbrush comes with a removable bristle lid to keep the brush bristles enclosed when the hairbrush is not in use and prevent the roller balls from drying out.
