摘要： An adaptor for coupling a surgical tool to a handle having a drive mechanism for operating the surgical tool is provided. The adaptor includes two telescopically connected segments, a first segment being for engaging the surgical tool and a second segment for engaging the handle. When the first and the second segments are telescopically collapsed they operatively link the surgical tool with the handle drive mechanism while preventing user contact with potentially non-sterile regions of the handle and/or tool.

摘要： A surgical instrument includes a handpiece to which a handpiece shaft can be flanged, and a tool mounting for receiving a tool which can be rotatably supported in the handpiece shaft for axially securing the tool in the tool mounting and for transferring a torque to the tool. The tool mounting includes a sleeve-shaped entrainment shaft with a plug-in zone for a torsion rod and torque transmission and axial locking zones for the tool. The tool mounting also includes a closure sleeve surrounding the entrainment shaft that includes a distal blocking section which acts on the axial locking zone of the entrainment shaft for axially locking and releasing the tool, and a proximal arresting section acting on the plug-in zone of the entrainment shaft for arresting the tool mounting on the torsion rod to transfer torques and axial forces and for releasing the tool mounting from the torsion rod.

A device adaptor connected inline between a surgical instrument and a power source can be configured to alter a device EEPROM to allow for additional device usage despite a usage based lockout. Notifications and user prompts may be displayed requiring a user to acknowledge that a usage based device lockout has occurred in order to avoid an attempt to use an expired device in a future procedure.

摘要： According to some embodiments, systems for energy delivery to targeted tissue comprise a catheter with an ablation member, a radiometer configured to detect temperature data from the targeted tissue, a processor configured to determine a calculated temperature (e.g., an extreme temperature, such as a peak or trough temperature) within the tissue by applying at least one factor to the temperature data detected by the radiometer, the processor configured to compare the calculated temperature to a setpoint and an energy source configured to energize the ablation member and to regulate delivery of ablative energy to the targeted tissue of the subject based at least in part on the comparison. In some embodiments, the factor depends on at least one characteristic of the targeted tissue. Information regarding a tissue characteristic can be provided using information from an imaging set (e.g., intracardiac echo) or an electrical signal of the subject (e.g., electrocardiogram).

摘要： The present invention provides systems and methods for temperature-controlled ablation using radiometric feedback. An interface module may include (a) a processor; (b) a first input/output (I/O) port to receive digital radiometer and digital thermocouple signals from an integrated catheter tip (ICT); (c) a second I/O port to receive ablative energy from a generator; (d) a temperature display; (e) a patient relay; (f) a computer-readable medium storing instructions for causing the processor to: (i) calculate a temperature adjacent to the ICT based on the digital radiometer and thermocouple signals and operation parameters; (ii) cause the temperature display to display the calculated temperature; and (iii) close the patient relay to pass ablative energy received on the second I/O port to the first I/O port; and (g) a temperature control subsystem to regulate the ablative power based on the calculated temperature.

The ring gear defines an internal array of gear teeth which are engaged with a spur gear of a rotatable drive shaft. The adapter knob housing may be a unitary member and may be formed of plastic.

摘要： A spinal alignment correction system (1) has a posted lumbar pedicle screw called a MAC Pin (10) which has an elongated shaft (11) and a rod coupler assembly (20) and a cannulated tower (40). The elongated shaft (11) has an inner pedicle screw portion (12) with pedicle threads (12A), an outer second thread portion (14) with second threads (14A) and a transition or intermediate portion (16) disposed between the pedicle screw portion (12) and the second thread portion (14). The cannulated tower (40) when mounted over said elongated shaft (11) abuts said coupler (20) along an outer cam surface and further tightening rotation of the cannulated tower (40) causes outward movement of the elongated shaft (11). The system (1) allows for a controlled alignment correction of malaligned vertebral bodies using a number of methods used to correct a variety of indications.
