摘要： A conduit for treating a tissue site with reduced pressure may include a primary lumen and at least one secondary lumen. A wall of the conduit may include a first wall material and a second wall material. The first wall material may comprise a substantially non-absorbent material that is vapor impermeable and liquid impermeable. The second wall material may comprise an absorbent material that is vapor permeable and liquid impermeable. The second wall material may be positioned in fluid contact with the at least one secondary lumen. Other systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed.

A device is disclosed that includes: a biodegradable optical fiber including; a biodegradable optically functional inner fiber including an optically-transmitting cladding in contact with and surrounding an optically-transmitting core, wherein the inner fiber is biodegradable on a first time scale; and an outer layer in contact with and surrounding the optically-transmitting cladding, wherein the outer layer is biodegradable on a controllably-defined delayed time scale, and the controllably-defined delayed time scale is of greater duration than the first time scale.

摘要： Wearable patches comprising multiple separable adhesive layers. One or more of the layers can comprise electronics, mechanical components, gauze, medicine and/or other types of hardware suitable for the intended use of the patch. In use, a first layer of the patch is adhered to a user. When it is time to change layers, the patch is removed from the user, the first layer is removed from the patch to expose a second adhesive layer, and the second layer is applied to the user. The process may be repeated until the remaining layers of the patch have been used.

摘要： A wound dressing for use with a closure device is disclosed. The first and second base panels of the closure device are positioned on opposite lateral sides of a wound or incision. The base panels are coupled together to maintain wound or incision closure. A release liner is removed from a bottom surface of the wound dressing. The wound dressing is positioned over the closure device and the wound or incision. Exudate is absorbed by an absorbent material of the wound dressing through a porous strip of the wound dressing. The wound dressing is slightly larger than the closure device so that its perimeter area is adhered to the skin area around the closure device. Alternatively or in combination, the wound dressing is lightly adhered to the closure device and wound or incision area so that it can be removed without harming the underlying device and tissues.

Further the effective covering designed for comfort and single-handed application to allow the wearer adequate coverage for normal daily routines, such as bathing, and more independence to perform these activities, making recovery time simpler and easier. Also the invention includes the use of a water-resistant plastic material preferably clear, colored or printed, formed into a protective cover for the limbs in or other body areas and gathered at the openings with elastic band sealed to the edges, and in some items, with a second band sealed into a cuff in the interior of the device, a distance parallel to the band on the end. The design will avoid circulatory problems of over-tightening and the problems of the other devices to secure a reasonably leak-proof opening.
