摘要： The present invention relates to a wheelchair footrest 1, comprising a continuous foot support 10 or two separate foot supports 10 for supporting the feet of a user; and at least one lighting means 20; wherein said lighting means 20 is fixedly arranged on at least one of said foot supports 10 to illuminate at least a floor area 40 on a front side 102 of said wheelchair 100; and the lighting means 20 comprises an LED strip which is fixedly arranged on the underside 12 of the at least one foot support 10, and wherein the LED strip has a length BL which extends over at least 50% of the width B of the at least one foot support 10. 摘要： A person lifting assembly to assist a person who has fallen get to a standing position includes a plurality of legs that define a first set of legs and a second set of legs. Each of the legs has a telescopically adjustable height. A base is attached to each set of legs such that the base has an adjustable height. A pair of armrests that have an adjustable height is included. Each of the armrests is attached to and extends between one of the sets of legs. A plurality of lifting units where each of the legs has a lifting unit mounted therein that extends into an associated one of the pair of armrests. Each of the lifting units extends or retracts an associated one of the legs with respect to the base to lift or lower the base with respect to the floor surface.

摘要： A lateral transfer system and method for transferring a patient between a fixed structure and a mobile vehicle. The system including A) a patient transfer device having a frame fixed to wheels and a carriage platform movably attached to the frame, the carriage platform having one or more extendable platform sections for lateral movement of the platform relative to the frame and wheels, and B) a stabilizer system for the patient transfer device. The stabilizer system including a portable platform having two opposing sloped ramps on a first and second sides thereof, a bracket fixedly attached to the platform adjacent a first end thereof, wherein the bracket is adapted for receiving a slide plate appendage attached to the frame of the patient transfer device, wherein the second end of the ramp has a length sufficient to prevent tipping of the platform during a patient transfer maneuver.

摘要： Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, and one or more pairs of arm assemblies. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheel chair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters can selectively engage the arm assembly based on at least one of a seat position, position of the arm assembly and surface conditions of ground surface. The arm limiters can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.

摘要： A chair includes a backrest that pivots with respect to the seat in a manner that improves the occupant's experience during the transition from an upright position to a reclined position. During pivoting of the backrest with respect to the seat, the backrest moves in a manner having an instantaneous center of rotation that does not remain stationary during the pivoting of the backrest. In some embodiments, the instantaneous center of rotation begins at a location lower than a height of the seat and moves backward as the backrest pivots from the upright position to the reclined position. The movement of the instantaneous center of rotation follows a smoothly curved path that has a continuous first derivative and, in some embodiments, continuous higher order derivatives as well. The movement may be effectuated via pins coupled to the backrest that ride in smoothly curved channels defined in a seat frame.

In order to allow for an individual adjustment of the seat, the lifting device consists of two to four scissor fittings, which are adjustable in height by driving means. Depending on the height setting of each scissor fitting, a lateral inclination or a tilting forwards or backwards can be achieved in addition to the lifting and lowering.
