摘要： A method and a system for recycling spent ethylene or propylene glycol recovered from aircraft deicing solutions is described. The recovered spent ethylene or propylene glycol contains water and other undesirable substances which require to be removed to produce a solution free of these substances which can be further processed to remove substantially all of the water content and to blend-in additives required to certify the final glycol solution for aircraft deicing. The method and system employs a computer controller for continuous automatic batch processing of the spent glycol, including, in combination, filtering, distillation, blending and testing in specific sequences and achieves an improved quality recycled glycol of a purity of at least 99.5% and preferably between 99.6% to 99.9% glycol concentration.

摘要： A process for stably and safely producing acetic acid without increasing an internal pressure of a distillation column is provided. The process comprises (1) a carbonylation reaction step for allowing methanol to react with carbon monoxide; (2) a flash step for separating the reaction mixture into a volatile phase and a less-volatile phase; (3) a first distillation step for separating the volatile phase into a first overhead and a crude acetic acid stream rich in acetic acid; and (4) a separation step for separating at least acetaldehyde from the first overhead. The separation step (4) comprises (6) a second distillation step for distilling the first overhead while controlling an internal pressure of a distillation column provided with a pressure control unit 68 to form a second overhead rich in acetaldehyde and methyl iodide and a bottom or lower stream, and (7) an extraction step for extracting acetaldehyde from the second overhead to form an extract rich in acetaldehyde and a raffinate rich in methyl iodide.

摘要： A method of treating a material to recover an oil from the material comprises heating the material to evaporate the oil, removing gas phase fluids from the material, and separating the oil from the gas phase fluids removed from the material, wherein the method includes mixing hot vapour with the material. The material being treated in the chamber is heated by friction within the chamber generated by a rotating shaft and flail. Injection of hot vapour improves the efficiency of the process to separate oil and any other evaporable liquids at lower temperatures. The thermal energy generated within the chamber is not consumed in changing the phase of large quantities of liquids in the material, and more of the energy generated is available to heat up the material and evaporate the oil fractions from the solids.
