摘要： The present invention relates to a painting method and a rotating atomization type painting device. On an inner surface of a bell cup constituting the rotating atomization type painting device are formed a first paint diffusion unit positioned on the inside in the radial direction and a second paint diffusion unit positioned between the first paint diffusion unit and a peripheral edge part. The first paint diffusion unit has a convex shaped curved surface extending toward the center of rotation of the bell cup, whereas the second paint diffusion unit has a concave shaped curved surface extending away from the center of rotation. The diameter of the bell cup is set at 75-150 mm, and the speed of rotation of the bell cup is set at 8000-30000 rpm.

A rear end part (21B) of the semi conductive member (21) is made in contact with a front end part (19D) of the film cover (17). A front end part (21C) of the semi conductive member (21) is made in contact with the shaping air ring (9).

摘要： A rotary atomizing head (4) is mounted on a fore end side of a motor (3). A shaping air ring (9) having a plurality of air outlet holes (10) at fixed intervals is provided on a rear side of the rotary atomizing head (4). Outer surfaces of the air motor (3) and outer surfaces of the shaping air ring (9) are enshrouded over the entire circumference by a cover member (7) formed of an electrically insulating material. An external electrode assembly (13) is provided radially outwardly of the cover member (7). An annular projecting portion (16) which projects forward is provided on the shaping air ring (9) over the entire circumference. The air outlet holes (10) are open in a fore distal end of this annular projecting portion (16). As a result, a corona discharge can be generated by allowing an electric field to be concentrated at the fore distal end of the annular protecting portion (16).

A structural component has a front wall acting as a hub, side wall extending rearward from an outer circumferential perimeter of the front wall to make a circumferentially continuous plane, legs each having a pawl and a bottom wall. The structural component is detachably mounted in a central concavity of an atomizing head body. A bottom wall of the structural component has formed a spoon-cut recess. The central concavity has an inclined circumferential wall, and the side wall of the structural component has an inclined outer circumferential surface complementary with the circumferential wall of the atomizing head body to get in substantial contact with the circumferential wall throughout the entire area of the outer circumferential wall.
