    • A method for monitoring resistance welding is provided, which includes receiving an input of waveform data obtained by converting current or voltage applied to a transformer welding gun into a digital signal through a teaching group filter; comparing the input waveform data with acceptance waveform data of current or voltage that is accumulatively stored through a destructive test; determining acceptance of a quality of a corresponding welding product if the input waveform data and the acceptance waveform data are equal or similar to each other within a predetermined error range, and determining rejection of the quality of the corresponding welding product if the input waveform data and the acceptance waveform data are different from each other; and outputting an acceptance or rejection message depending on the result of the determination.

    • This power supply apparatus comprises a charging circuit for charging a capacitor. The charging circuit includes a transformer, a rectifying circuit, a switching element, an inductance coil and a freewheeling diode. The rectifying circuit full-wave rectifies an AC power supply voltage acquired on the secondary side of the transformer to provide a DC voltage as its output. When the switching element is turned on or becomes conductive, a DC current is allowed to flow through a circuit extending from a positive output terminal of the rectifying circuit through the switching circuit and the inductance coil to a negative output terminal of the rectifying circuit. Once the switching element is switched from its ON state to OFF state, a current based on the inductance coil flows in the forward direction of the diode through a closed circuit consisting of the inductance coil, capacitor and the diode such that the capacitor is charged with the freewheeling current.

    • A method for inspecting the quality of the resistance weld, in which the adhesive force between twisted wires, as materials to be welded in a welding portion, can be predicted on the basis of the inter-tip resistance between electrodes, so that the quality of the weld can be evaluated accurately. The method comprises the steps of: measuring a welding width of the welding portion; calculating a reference welding height of the welding portion from the measured welding width on the basis of a predetermined reference welding sectional area of the welding portion; passing the welding current through the welding portion until the height of the welding portion reaches the calculated reference welding height; and inspecting the state of welding of the twisted wires on the basis of a bottom value of inter-tip resistance of the pair of electrodes in an initial stage of conduction of the welding current.
