摘要： A fastener driver includes a magazine having a magazine cover and a magazine body. The magazine cover includes a top surface having an opening defined therein. The magazine body is slidably movable relative to the magazine cover from a closed position to an open position. A latch is coupled to the top surface of the magazine cover and extends through the opening in the top surface of the magazine cover. The latch includes a latch projection that defines a first contact surface. A pusher body is slidably coupled to the magazine body and includes an arm member that defines a second contact surface. A biasing member biases the pusher toward a nosepiece when the magazine body is in the closed position. The first and second contact surfaces are engageable to hold the pusher body in a latched position when the magazine body is in the open position.

摘要： A fastening tool assembly is provided with a housing having a contact surface to contact a workpiece. A magazine is mounted in the housing to store fasteners and to convey the fasteners to a fastener outlet. A knife is mounted in the housing for translation between a latched position and a release position to drive a fastener from the magazine through the outlet during translation to the release position. A biasing member is mounted in the housing and is operably connected to the knife to bias the knife to the release position. A handle is mounted to the housing to translate relative to the housing. The handle is operably connected to the knife and the biasing member to load the biasing member and release the knife and the biasing member, thereby permitting the biasing member to return the knife to the release position to drive a fastener through the outlet.

摘要： A fastener magazine of a fastening device may include a track defining an elongated channel with a dispensing end at which fasteners are dispensed from the magazine. A runner positioned in the track may include a release member that projects outward from an outer surface of the runner. A pusher may be positioned in the track and coupled to the runner such that the pusher exerts a force in a direction toward the dispensing end of the track on the fasteners when the runner is in a closed position. A retention member that is attached to a side wall of the track can engage the pusher through an aperture in the track to prevent the pusher from contacting the fasteners until the runner has reached a desired position in the track. The release member can contact the retention member to disengage the retention member from the pusher.

摘要： A magazine for use with a fastening tool. The magazine can have a pusher assembly that can be retracted into a recess in the magazine to facilitate loading and reloading of fasteners. The magazine can also use a lockout mechanism which allows an operator to know when it is appropriate to reload fasteners and which can mitigate damage resulting from an impact upon the fastening tools nosepiece when the lockout mechanism is engaged. The fastening tool can also have a contact trip actuator which is compact and can control the amount of force that is applied to a tactile switch of the fastener driving mechanism.
