摘要： A prepreg, including: a fiber layer containing unidirectionally arranged discontinuous carbon fibers and a thermosetting resin; and a resin layer existing on at least one side of said fiber layer and containing a thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin; in which said prepreg contains carbon fibers having an areal weight of fibers of 120 to 300 g/m2, and has a mass fraction of resin of 25 to 50% with respect to the whole mass of said prepreg; and in which a temperature at which a coefficient of interlayer friction is 0.05 or less is in a temperature range of from 40 to 80° C., the interlayer friction being caused at the contact interface between layers of said prepreg when the middle one of three layers that are each made of said prepreg and laid up is pulled out, said coefficient of interlayer friction being measured at 10° C. intervals in a temperature range of from 40 to 80° C. under conditions including a pulling speed of 0.2 mm/min, a perpendicular stress of 0.08 MPa, and a pulling length of 1 mm. There is provided a prepreg with which a wrinkle-free preform can be produced and which expresses excellent, mechanical property in carbon fiber reinforced plastics made thereof.

摘要： A deicer boot includes an aircraft structure and an outer layer. The outer layer includes a plurality of elastomer fibers and a carbon allotrope material. The carbon allotrope material is aligned with at least one elastomer fiber belonging to the plurality of elastomer fibers. A method of forming a layer of a deicer boot includes aligning a carbon allotrope material with a first elastomer fiber, joining the first elastomer fiber with a plurality of additional elastomer fibers to form a non-woven fiber fabric, and incorporating the non-woven fiber fabric into a sheet.

摘要： A thermally conductive sheet has cut surfaces with low surface roughness and hence shows reduced thermal resistance at the interfaces, and high thermal conductivity in the thickness direction. Thus, the thermally conductive sheet can be interposed between any of various heat sources and a radiation member. The process for producing the thermally conductive sheet includes at least: an extrusion molding step in which a thermally conductive composition containing a polymer, an anisotropic thermally conductive filler, and a filler is extruded with an extruder to thereby mold an extrusion-molded product in which the anisotropic thermally conductive filler has been oriented along the extrusion direction; a curing step in which the extrusion-molded product is cured to obtain a cured object; and a slicing step in which the cured object is sliced into a given thickness with an ultrasonic cutter in the direction perpendicular to the extrusion direction.

摘要： Chopped fiber composite systems and methods are disclosed. Sorting systems include a conveyor, an imager, a plurality of receptacles, a pneumatic device, and controller. Molding systems include a conveyor, an imager, a mold, a pneumatic device, and a controller. The controller directs the pneumatic device to alter the freefall of chopped fiber composite pieces based on characteristics of the chopped fiber composite pieces as they drop from the conveyor and into a receptacle or a mold. Sorting and molding methods include dropping chopped fiber composite pieces, detecting characteristics of the dropping pieces, and directing the pieces based on the detected characteristics.
