摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a light source, an optical deflector, an optical deflector casing, a bearing, and a sound absorption unit. The optical deflector reflects and deflects an optical beam emitted from the light source, having a rotational reflection member disposed on a rotation shaft to perform optical scanning. The optical deflector casing seals a space in which the optical deflector. The bearing rotatably supports the rotation shaft of the rotational reflection member with respect to the optical deflector casing, and includes at least portion exposed to an external space outside the sealed space of the optical deflector casing. The sound absorption unit is disposed opposite the exposed portion of the bearing with the external space therebetween.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a light source, an optical deflector, an optical deflector casing, a bearing, and a sound absorption unit. The acoustical layer seals the boss of the casing and leaks no noise from the interior of an electronic apparatus including a platen.

摘要： A dot-matrix impact printer includes a print head in a housing for printing a recording sheet fed around a platen. The recording sheet is pressed against the platen by a sheet presser roller. A roller cover or a flap is disclosed as a sound insulating wall closely to the sheet presser roller and has an edge held against the housing. The space above the print head is closed by the housing, the platen, the sheet presser roller, and the platen, so that the impact noise produced when the printer is in operation will not leak out of the housing, while at the same time the recording sheet fed around the platen is not blocked by the closure mechanism.

Moreover, the optimum exhaust port can be selected depending on the type and thickness of sheet by rotation of cover or providing the slide mechanism.
