摘要： A bookbinding device includes a control unit for calculating set parameter values for a clamper and a processing unit on the basis of thickness on a book body to be bound, and initially setting the clamper and the processing unit in accordance with the set parameter values. The control unit includes an input unit for receiving an input of a reference parameter value for two or more different book body thicknesses; a function generation unit for generating, on the basis of the reference parameter value, a function for calculating a set parameter value that has been adjusted in accordance with the book body thickness; a parameter calculation unit for calculating, on the basis of the book body thickness, the set adjusted parameter value by using the function; and an initial setting unit for initially setting the clamper and the processing unit in accordance with the set adjusted parameter value.

摘要： A device for alignment of a book block consisting of single sheets and/or signatures is useable in a processing machine, in which manufacturing of books or printed products is carried out. The device is arranged upstream of a first processing station within the processing machine. The book block is feedable directly or indirectly into the device automatically or by hand. An alignment station has a base plate with a substantially vertically extending stop surface at an end thereof. The base plate has a movable part configured to carry out a movement with respect to the stop surface such that the movement of the movable part, in an operative connection to the stop surface, brings about an alignment of the single sheets and/or signatures at a book block edge, and such that, following alignment, the book block is grippable by at least one transport clamp for processing.

The book binding apparatus 10 and the paper feeding apparatus 20 can be communicated with each other. Based on the book binding information set in the book binding apparatus side book binding information setting part 13 or the paper feeding apparatus side book binding information setting part 23, the recorded paper is fed from the paper feeding apparatus 20 to the book binding apparatus 10 one sheet by one sheet and the recorded papers are bundled and bound by the book binding apparatus 10.

The apparatus includes the first holder which clamps and holds the sheet and the second holder which clamps and holds the sheet while corrugating the sheet. The second holder holds the sheet while the first holder holds the first part of the sheet, and then, while the second holder holds the sheet, the first holder releases the first part of the sheet, moves along the sheet and holds the second part of the sheet.

The container collects a chip produced by the trimming in the trimming section. The detector detects a presence of the chip at a predetermined height. The control section makes the trimming section perform the trimming of a next sheet or sheet set when the detector detects the chip. Then, the control section determines that a top of piled chips in the container has reached the predetermined height when the detector still detects the presence of the chip after the trimming of the next sheet or sheet set.
