    • An applicator constructed such that when the user clicks a rear end of an inner barrel, a valve mechanism is actuated by moving the inner barrel relative to an outer barrel, whereby an application liquid is supplied to an applying element arranged at a front end part of the outer barrel, and that when a valve seat member and a valve rod member move relatively to each other, the valve mechanism can take a first state in which a piston portion on the front side of the valve rod member comes into sliding contact with a front-side liquid-tight portion inside the valve seat member, a second state in which both of the piston portion on the front side of the valve rod member and piston portion on the rear side of valve rod member do not come in sliding contact with the corresponding liquid-tight portions inside the valve seat member, and a third state in which the piston portion on the rear side of the valve rod member comes into sliding contact with the rear-side liquid-tight portion.

    • In a liquid container, it is made possible to store liquid that is overflowed by fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and thereby to prevent liquid leaks, and the whole quantity of the stored liquid is enabled to be used. The liquid container is provided with a body having a main tank in which liquid is stored; a supply outlet, located toward the tip of the body, for supplying the liquid; a guiding portion connecting the main tank and the supply outlet to guide the liquid from the main tank to the supply outlet; and a liquid reservoir having an air flow port communicating with the exterior and a liquid flow port communicating with the main tank or the guiding portion and an overflowing liquid flow path for storing liquid overflowing the main tank. The liquid is stored farther away from the supply outlet than the liquid flow port.

    • A writing instrument having a closure cap assembly (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) which can be placed in a sealing manner on the writing tip (20), whereby a positive engagement with an indentation in the writing tip is established via an elastically deformable finger (8), when the closure cap is in place on the writing tip. Whereupon a twisting of the entire mounted closure cap assembly (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) brings the cam face (13) into engagement with a correspondingly formed wedge face (27) of the writing tip (20), so that the arm (8) is pivoted radially outward, and the closure cap can be removed.

    • An applicator for fluids, such as cosmetic fluids to be applied to a person''s skin, includijg a container for the fluid adapted to flow through a passage or orifice in its tip, the passage being of such length and diameter that the fluid tends to rise in the orifice to a greater extent than the length of the orifice for discharge onto a person''s skin. When not applied to the skin, surface tension of the fluid in the orifice prevents leakage. A cap carries a small diameter punch or wire which is inserted into the orifice whenever the cap is replaced over the container to be assured that the orifice is clear, or to unplug it if restricted.

    • An applicator for cosmetics (in particular, eyeliner) and writing implements. The applicator includes an extrusion device that extrudes the content liquid to an applicator part. The applicator part has a conical part formed in an approximate conical shape. The conical part 31 has a plurality of thin disks arranged concentrically. The outside diameters of thin disks define a conical shape from a front end to a rear, and the thin disks is connected at their approximate center by an approximate cone or approximate cylinder. A plurality of grooves are formed in a front-to-rear direction of the applicator part. A liquid flow passage connected to a flow path is formed inside the approximate cone or approximate cylinder. Also, slits connecting the liquid flow passage and the grooves are formed on an outer side of the approximate cone or approximate cylinder.
