At least the longitudinal portion (1) of the spring carrier arm comprises a lower shell (4) and an upper shell (3) of metallic material or of a plastic with or without fiber reinforcement, the shell edges (6, 7) thereof extending along the neutral bending axis (5) of the spring carrier arm, and the lower shell (4) and upper shell (3) are connected to one another along the neutral bending axis (5) of the spring carrier arm by bonding engagement.

摘要： An improved connection is provided for mounting a trailing arm air suspension to the subframe of a slider suspension. A beam is welded to the bottom of a pair of frame rails, and a hanger bracket is welded to the bottom of the beam. One or more gussets is mounted to the beam to strengthen the connections between the hanger bracket and the beam and the beam and the frame rail. The connection also includes a support bracket for the air spring. The support bracket includes upper and lower flanges, with the lower flange mounting an upper end of the air spring and being mounted to the bottom of the frame rail. The upper flange extends acutely upwardly from the lower flange and is connected to an upper portion of the frame rail.

摘要： A wheeled undercarriage for lengthwise trailering a removable elongated machine head is provided. The undercarriage includes first, second and third components and the first component includes structure for semi-permanent mounting of the first component from the head generally centrally intermediate the opposite ends thereof, but spaced longitudinally along the head from its point of longitudinal center of gravity. The first component includes lower right and left mount portions and the second and third components comprise right and left axle assemblies each including a mounting end and a wheel journaling end. The right and left mount portions and the mounting ends of the right and left axle assemblies include coacting structure for releasably supporting the right and left axle assembly mounting ends from the right and left mount portions, respectively. The wheel journaling ends of the axle assemblies are horizontally disposed, extend in parallel opposite directions and have support wheels journaled thereon. A removable tongue assembly is also provided for use in conjunction with the wheeled undercarriage and includes structure for removable attachment to one end of the associated elongated head.

摘要： An improved axle for a vehicle maintains the wheels of the vehicle in a upright position when the wheels pass over irregularities in the surface of a road and holds the body of the vehicle in a fixed position with respect to the wheels when a lateral force such as a centrifugal force is applied to the body. The axle includes a shaft which supports the wheels of the vehicle and which pivots when the wheels roll over irregularities in the surface of a road. The shaft has two offset end portions which each support a wheel. The end portions are connected by a central bar which is pivotally and slidably supported so that the end portions move in arcuate paths when the shaft pivots. A wheel support assembly is provided for each end portion of the shaft to connect a wheel to the end portion and to change the arcuate movement of the end portion to a corresponding vertical movement of the wheel, so that the wheel is deflected in a vertical plane when it rolls over an irregularity of the surface. The wheel support assemblies also retain the shaft against lateral movement with respect to the body.
