摘要： A machine for filling a tertiary container with secondary containers is provided. The machine includes a frame and a tray loading station positioned to receive a plurality of streams of the secondary containers. The machine also includes a front gate at an upstream end of the tray loading station, the front gate moveable between a first position, in which the secondary containers are obstructed from passing downstream, and a second position, in which the secondary containers are not obstructed. The machine further includes a back stop proximate a downstream end of the tray loading station, the back stop moveable between a first, upstream position and a second, downstream position. The tray loading station is sized such that when a first row of secondary containers is positioned against the back stop in the first position, a portion of an upstream row of secondary containers is positioned directly above the front gate.

摘要： A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a spill detection subsystem and method. The system can include a cameras to take images that a processed to determine presence of a spilled pharmaceutical. A mirror portion is provided so that the camera can take images of the entire field of the filling area. The mirror portion can be a concave mirror that increases the field of view of the camera. A light panel can illuminate the field of view to allow the camera to take high speed images. A controller can receive a series of at least two images captured by the camera and determine whether an object in the captured images is a spilled pharmaceutical.

摘要： A method of reducing a wetness gradient development for a package of wet wipes is provided. The method includes, after wet wipes are enclosed within a package to form the package of wet wipes, locating the package of wet wipes in a first orientation such that a first side faces downward and an opposite second side faces upward to form a first wetness gradient after a preselected amount of time. Prior to opening the package of wet wipes, the method includes inverting the package of wet wipes according to a predetermined turning schedule to place the package of wet wipes in a second orientation such that the first side faces upward and the second side faces downward to form a second wetness gradient that is different from the first wetness gradient.

摘要： A method for packaging one or more tobacco-filled boxes (13) in a plastic bag (21) comprises the following steps of —placing the box in a vacuum chamber (3, 5) through an input (7), —closing the vacuum chamber, then evacuating the vacuum chamber and thereafter creating an over-pressure nitrogen atmosphere in the vacuum chamber —putting a bag open at one end around a rectangular guide profile (19) open at both ends, where the other, closed, end of the bag shuts off one of the ends of the rectangular guide profile, —positioning the rectangular guide profile with the end not shut off by the bag in front of a shut off output (9) of the vacuum chamber and coupling the rectangular guide profile in a gas-tight manner to the output of the vacuum chamber, —opening the output of the vacuum chamber and guiding the box into the bag via the rectangular guide profile, and —folding the open end of the bag immediately followed by the sealing of the bag. By processing the box in the vacuum chamber before a plastic bag is put around the box, it is better to create underpressure in the box and flush it with nitrogen because the box has not yet been shut off on three sides by the plastic bag in a gas-tight manner. As a result, a better atmosphere can be created in the box or the optimal atmosphere in the box can be created in a faster manner.

摘要： A feeder for machines for wrapping sheet-like products includes a track for supplying laminar blanks, a cutting unit for dividing the blanks into sheet-like products, and a channel for supplying a respective wrapping station with the sheet-like products. The feeder includes at least two channels arranged mutually side by side, and lead to respective mutually opposite wrapping elements of distinct wrapping stations. A sorting apparatus is interposed between the channels and the cutting unit for the selective transfer of the sheet-like products that arrive from the cutting unit to one respective channel at a time.
