    • A device for individually packaging medication comprises: a conveyance member for conveying a long packaging sheet, the packaging sheet being folded in two along the longitudinal direction thereof with a fold line disposed on the lower side; and a sealing member for sealing the packaging sheet. The sealing member is configured by integrating longitudinal and lateral sealing units. The longitudinal sealing unit being adapted to seal the edge of the packaging sheet, located on an opposite side of the fold line, and the lateral sealing unit being adapted to seal the packaging sheet at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction. The device further comprises: a support member for supporting the sealing member; and a control unit causing the sealing member to rotate idle while separating the longitudinal sealing unit from the packaging sheet and thereafter causing the longitudinal sealing unit to come into contact again with the packaging sheet.

    • A dispenser feeds tablets from a storing section to a packaging section. A tablet-adhered powder removal device is provided in a preparation section between the storing section and the packaging section. The preparation section has rotating open-top receiving portions, and the tablets for one package are fed to each receiving section. One side wall of each receiving section includes a fixed plate having a groove-ridge portion, while the opposite side wall includes a swing plate. The swing plate vibrates when a cam roller rides on protrusions during the rotation of the receiving portion. Due to the vibration, the powder adhered to the tablets between the plates is stripped and removed. The powder falls from a gap formed by opening the plates, and is discharged to the outside. When the cam roller rides on a cam, the swing plate is swung and drops the tablets in the receiving portion.

    • An inspection system and method that inspects at least two different medications is described. The automated filling station houses at least two different medications. The automated inspection station receives the medications associated with one of the packages. The measurement device associated with the automated inspection station is configured to examine the different medications and generate a measured medication value for the different medications. The measured medication value is received by the inspection control process module. Additionally, the expected medication value is received by the inspection control process module. The inspection result state is then selected by the inspection control process module. The inspection control module compares the expected medication value to the measured medication value. The inspection result state includes a positive inspection result state, a negative inspection result state, and an inconclusive inspection result state.
