摘要： A display box is provided for housing and retaining a cylindrical container. The box may include two side walls and a front and rear wall, a top lid extending from an upper end of one of the walls and a bottom lid extending from the lower end of the same or a different wall. At least one elongate flap further extends from the lower end of one of said side walls or rear wall, said flap being provided with crease lines along which said flap may be folded. The flap has an end portion adhered to the inner surface of the wall from which the flap extends, a first lateral portion having a proximal end adjacent the wall and a distal end extending into the box. A vertical portion extends down from the distal end of the first lateral portion and a second lateral portion connects a lower end of the vertical portion and a distal end of a base portion. The length l1 of the first lateral portion is greater than the distance D1 between the inner surface of the wall from which the flap extends and the wall of a container being held in the box.

At least one reference apparatus may be formed with at least one of the front and rear panels. 摘要： A shipping carton with an integral cushion support. The carton includes a bottom, two side walls and two end walls extending vertically from the base, and a top. The top and bottom of the carton include two side flaps and two end flaps that are used to close the top and bottom in a conventional manner. The end flaps preferably include a integrally formed cushion support that includes an elongate body having a triangular cross-sectional shape defined by a vertical wall extending away from the end flap and an inclined wall extending from the end of the vertical wall towards the end flap. One or more locking tabs extend from the end of the inclined wall of the cushion support and engage one or more slots formed in the end flap. Alternatively, a locking member extends away from the end flap in the same direction as the vertical wall of the cushion support and includes a locking slot formed adjacent the end flap that is engaged by the one or more locking tabs to lock the cushion support in place. When the end flaps are turned in for closing the top of the carton, the vertical wall of the cushion support abuts or otherwise engages a support member block that is operably engaging at least a portion of the top of the packaged product.

摘要： A single-piece corrugated box suited for shipping one or more articles, e.g. hazardous articles such as cans of paint, varnish, solvent or other liquid hydrocarbon includes four upright side wall panels that are connected by vertical fold lines and upper and lower pairs of abutting, full-overlap article-stabilizing flaps that are provided with punched openings therein positioned in vertical alignment with each other so that one pair of stabilizing flaps surrounds and interlocks over the upper end of the article and the other pair of stabilizing flaps surrounds and interlocks over the lower end of the article. Each pair of stabilizing flaps is supported exteriorally by a pair of laterally opposed end flaps which are folded centrally so as to enclose and abut the ends of the article as well as the underlying stabilizing flaps. The stabilizing flaps are hinged to the side walls of the box by horizontal fold lines. These fold lines form opposed anchoring points for the stabilizing flaps which cooperate with the interlocking of the stabilizing flaps over the article to strengthen and rigidify the box to enhance protection of the article that is packaged therein. The stabilizing flaps both extend horizontally in a straight line toward the article from the side wall to serve as a shock- and pressure-resisting brace between the article being shipped and the side wall of the box.
