摘要： The present invention comprises formulations and method for additive manufacturing comprising: a pot-stable photo-curable polymer; one or more fillers; and one or more additives, wherein the formulation cures into a polymer in six hours or less upon exposure to light. In certain examples, the additive manufacturing is a moldless method of additive manufacturing by preparing a formulation comprising: a pot-stable photo-curable polymer, one or more fillers, and one or more additives, and exposing the formulation to light in an amount that substantially cures the polymer in 6 hours or less.

摘要： A method of forming polymer composites having transition metal oxide nanoparticles dispersed therein includes mixing a transition metal oxide precursor including at least one transition metal, a polymer as a binder, a solvent for the polymer, and water to form a first solution including polymer-transition metal complexes. The polymer-transition metal complexes are hydrolyzed to produce a plurality of transition metal oxide nanoparticles, wherein water is added in the mixing in a stoichiometric excess for the hydrolyzing. The solvent and residual of the water remaining after the hydrolyzing are removed. A polymer composite including a plurality of transition metal oxide nanoparticles dispersed in the polymer results after the removing, where some of the polymer is chemically conjugated to a surface of the transition metal oxide nanoparticles.

摘要： An active composition for a decoy which radiates spectrally as the active composition burns up, including radiation emitted during combustion of the active composition in the wavelength range from 3.7 to 5.1 μm which is stronger by a factor of at least 15 than radiation emitted during combustion of the active composition in the wavelength range from 1.9 to 2.3 μm. The active composition contains a nitrate ester and/or one nitrosamine as a fuel having carbon atoms, hydrogen atoms, and ammonium perchlorate as oxidizer. The amount of the ammonium perchlorate is such that it is not sufficient for complete oxidation of the fuel. The active composition contains either the nitrate ester in the form of a polymeric solid, or a binder, not more than 5 carbon atoms in the fuel being joined to one another by direct bonding, and the active composition containing substantially no carbon source containing elemental carbon.

摘要： Insensitive explosive compositions were prepared by reacting di-isocyanate and/or poly-isocyanate monomers with an explosive diamine monomer. Prior to a final cure, the compositions are extrudable. The di-isocyanate monomers tend to produce tough, rubbery materials while polyfunctional monomers (i.e. having more than two isocyanate groups) tend to form rigid products. The extrudable form of the composition may be used in a variety of applications including rock fracturing.
