摘要： Methods of producing a 2,4-dienal acetal compound and a 2,4-dienal compound useful as synthesis intermediates of a sex pheromone compound having a conjugated diene structure or a conjugated triene structure. More specifically, a method produces a 2,4-dienal acetal compound of Formula (2): R1CH═CH—CH═CH—CH(OR2)(OR3), including a step of subjecting a 2-enal acetal compound having a leaving group X at position C5 and being expressed by Formula (1): R1CHX—CH2—CH═CH—CH(OR2)(OR3) to an elimination reaction in the presence of a base to obtain the 2,4-dienal acetal compound (2); and a method for producing a 2,4-dienal compound of Formula (3): R1CH═CH—CH═CH—CHO, further including a step of deprotecting the 2,4-dienal acetal compound (2) to obtain the 2,4-dienal compound (3).

摘要： The present invention discloses a process to treat a ferrite based catalyst useful in the oxidative dehydrogenation of monololefins and diolefins which process includes a preheat step prior to use of the catalyst in the OXO-D reactor. The catalyst is preferably a zinc ferrite catalyst for the production of butadiene. It has been observed that substantially no nitrogen oxide emissions result from the use of this treated catalyst in the reactor unit during the oxidative dehydrogenation reaction.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide an oxide catalyst that prevents the reduction degradation of the catalyst even during industrial operation for a long time and less reduces unsaturated aldehyde yields, diolefin yields, or unsaturated nitrile yields, and a method for producing the same, and methods for producing unsaturated aldehyde, diolefin, and unsaturated nitrile using the oxide catalyst. The present invention provides an oxide catalyst for use in the production of unsaturated aldehyde, diolefin, or unsaturated nitrile from olefin and/or alcohol, the oxide catalyst satisfying the following (1) to (3): (1) the oxide catalyst comprises molybdenum, bismuth, iron, cobalt, and an element A having an ion radius larger than 0.96 Å (except for potassium, cesium, and rubidium); (2) an atomic ratio a of the bismuth to 12 atoms of the molybdenum is 1≦a≦5, an atomic ratio b of the iron to 12 atoms of the molybdenum is 1.5≦b≦6, an atomic ratio c of the element A to 12 atoms of the molybdenum is 1≦c≦5, and an atomic ratio d of the cobalt to 12 atoms of the molybdenum is 1≦d≦8; and (3) the oxide catalyst comprises a disordered phase consisting of a crystal system comprising the molybdenum, the bismuth, the iron, and the element A.

摘要： A method of making para-xylene or toluene is carried out by: (a) reacting a C5 or C6 linear monoene (itself, or formed from a C5 or C6 linear alkane) with a hydrogen acceptor in the presence of a hydrogen transfer catalyst to produce a C5 or C6 diene; (b) reacting the C5-C6 diene with ethylene to produce a cyclohexene having 1 or 2 methyl groups substituted thereon; and then (c) either (i) dehydrogenating the cyclohexene in the presence of a hydrogen acceptor with a hydrogen transfer catalyst to produce a compound selected from the group consisting of para-xylene and toluene, or (ii) dehydrogenating the cyclohexene in the absence of a hydrogen acceptor with a dehydrogenation catalyst, to produce para-xylene or toluene.

摘要： Described is a method for operating and shutting down a dehydrogenation reactor that contains a volume of dehydrogenation catalyst. After termination of the introduction of a dehydrogenation feed into the dehydrogenation reactor that is operated under dehydrogenation reaction conditions, a first cooling fluid comprising steam is introduced into the reactor for a first time period sufficient to cool the dehydrogenation catalyst contained in the dehydrogenation reactor to a second temperature. The introduction of the first cooling fluid is terminated followed by the introduction of a second cooling fluid for a second time period sufficient to cool the dehydrogenation catalyst contained in the dehydrogenation reactor to a third temperature that allows for the handling and removal of the dehydrogenation catalyst from the dehydrogenation reactor.
