Particularly, the cation-exchanged zeolite catalyst has a molar ratio of Si/Al from 5 to 100 and is ion-exchanged with an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal in range of 2% to 50% of ion exchange capacity.Further, the process for producing mono-iodo benzene of the present invention comprises the step of performing a transiodination by using the cation-exchanged zeolite catalyst to produce mono-iodo benzene from reactants including benzene and one or more multi-iodo benzenes selected from the group consisting of di-iodo benzene and tri-iodo benzene.

摘要： An improved continuous process for converting methane, natural gas, or other hydrocarbon feedstocks into one or more higher hydrocarbons or olefins by continuously cycling through the steps of alkane halogenation, product formation (carbon-carbon coupling), product separation, and regeneration of halogen is provided. Preferably, the halogen is continually recovered by reacting hydrobromic acid with air or oxygen. The invention provides an efficient route to aromatic compounds, aliphatic compounds, mixtures of aliphatic and aromatic compounds, olefins, gasoline grade materials, and other useful products.

摘要： A process is specified for preparing a chromium- and magnesium-containing catalyst for fluorination reactions by precipitating chromium(III) hydroxide. In this process, 1 mole of a water-soluble chromium(III) salt is reacted with at least 1.5 moles of magnesium hydroxide or magnesium oxide in the presence of water, and the reaction mixture--if necessary by evaporation--is converted into a paste which contains chromium(III) hydroxide and a magnesium salt. The paste is dried and treated with hydrogen fluoride at temperatures of 20.degree. to 500.degree. C.

摘要： The process of making fluorochlorobenzenes by thermal disproportionation of one fluorochlorobenzene to give a mixture of other fluorochlorobenzenes comprises heating at a temperature above 600 DEG C. a fluorochlorobenzene chosen from trifluorotrichlorobenzene and tetrafluorodichlorobenzene and separating the fluorochlorobenzenes formed. Preferably the reaction temperature is from 700-850 DEG C. and the fluorochlorobenzene is heated in contact with a catalyst, e.g. aluminium fluoride, aluminium fluoride dispersed on magnesium fluoride or caesium fluoride. In an example, the fluorochlorobenzene (sym-trifluorotrichlorobenzene or tetrafluorodichlorobenzene) is passed in a stream of dry nitrogen through a platinum-lined tube heated to the desired reaction temperature, the rate of addition of the fluorochlorobenzene being such that the total addition takes place over 30 minutes; flow-rates of the nitrogen were from 10 to 50 mls. per minute. The products issuing from the tube were collected in a trap cooled with liquid air and subsequently separated by gas-chromatography using a silicone grease supported on firebrick. Specification 970,746 is referred to.
