摘要： The present invention discloses a tertiary amine initiator and polymeric polyol compositions made therefrom useful for making polyurethane polymers, especially polyurethane foams. Said polyurethane polymer foams demonstrate a good balance of mechanical properties, physical properties, and low emissions. The tertiary amine initiator is one or more partially alkylated amine compound have the Structure II: RR1N—(R′—NH)y—(R′—NR4)x-y—R′—NR2R3 wherein R′ is a C1 to C6 linear or branched alkyl group, R, R1, R2, and R3 are independently a hydrogen or a C1 to C6 linear or branched alkyl group with the proviso that at least one of R, R1, R2, and R3 is not hydrogen, R4 is a hydrogen or a C1 to C6 linear or branched alkyl group, x is from 1 to 33, y is from 0 to 32, and z is from 0 to 15, with the proviso that x-y is equal to or greater than 1 and the number of N—H bonds in (II) is greater than 0 and less than 8.

摘要： A number of cationic antimicrobial polymers have been synthesized by a condensation polymerization in bulk. The initial polymer formed has backbone tertiary nitrogens, which are subsequently quaternized using a suitable quaternizing agent (e.g., alkyl halide). The cationic polymers include polyamides, polycarbonates, polypolyureas and polyguanidiniums having a cationic repeat unit comprising the quaternary ammonium nitrogen as a backbone nitrogen. The cationic polymers can be active against Gram-negative, Gram-positive microbes, and/or fungi.

摘要： A process of making a polymeric phenazonium compound having the general formula: wherein R1, R2, R4, R5, R6, R8, and R9 are the same or different, and represent hydrogen, a low alkyl or a substituted aryl, R3 starts with NH2 and is diazotized followed by a polymerization, R5 and R8 may alternatively represent monomeric or polymeric phenazonium radicals, R7 is a carbon in the aromatic ring, Rx and Ry represent any combination of CH3, C2H5, and hydrogen, except that Rx and Ry cannot both be hydrogen, A is an acid radical, and n is an integer from 2 to 100, preferably from 2 to 20 is described. The polymeric phenazonium compound is usable as an additive in a metal plating bath comprising copper. The method includes the steps of a) dissolving an effective amount of an amino compound in a formic acid solution; b) adding a nitrite salt to diazotize the amino compound; and c) adding sulfamic acid to neutralize any excess nitrous acid that may be formed in step b), whereby a polymeric phenazonium compound is produced with a smaller quantity of unreacted monomer remaining in the end product than those produced using methods of the prior art.

The copolymer may be used as vaccinating agent also comprising an antigen and a vaccine against hepatitis A and hepatitis B, which contains a vaccine preparation comprising HVA Ag and HBsAg simultaneously or vaccine preparations against hepatitis A and against hepatitis B. The invention represents a new class of compounds that exhibit a wide range of pharmacological activity and a vaccination effect as well as increased safety in use, and is directed towards increasing manufacturability, cost efficiency and environmental safety in the production of drugs.

摘要： A large single crystal of a complex such as an organic carboxylic acid metal complex, which crystal is useful as an adsorbent of various gases and vapors of organic solvents and as a hydrogen-absorbing material, as well as a process for producing the crystal, is disclosed. Two layers wherein an upper layer thereof is constituted by a solution containing a metal salt and an organic carboxylic acid having a conjugated system, or a solution containing a metal salt of the organic carboxylic acid having a conjugated system, and wherein a lower layer of the two layers is constituted by a solvent which is not miscible with the solvent of the solution, is formed. Vapor of pyrazine or a substituted pyrazine from a solution of pyrazine or the substituted pyrazine is introduced into the upper layer to allow reaction, thereby forming a large single crystal(s) of the organic carboxylic acid metal complex at the interface between the two layers, which crystal(s) has (have) a longer side with a size of not less than 0.8 mm.
