摘要： A composite comprising a combination of a self-healing polymer matrix and a carbon fiber reinforcement is described. In one embodiment, the matrix is a polybutadiene graft copolymer matrix, such as polybutadiene graft copolymer comprising poly(butadiene)-graft-poly(methyl acrylate-co-acrylonitrile). A method of fabricating the composite is also described, comprising the steps of manufacturing a pre-impregnated unidirectional carbon fiber preform by wetting a plurality of carbon fibers with a solution, the solution comprising a self-healing polymer and a solvent, and curing the preform. A method of repairing a structure made from the composite of the invention is described. A novel prepreg material used to manufacture the composite of the invention is described.

摘要： The present invention relates to a sheet for a carrier tape, having at least one layer comprising (I) a block copolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene, (II) a non-rubber-modified vinyl aromatic type hydrocarbon polymer, and (III) a rubber-modified vinyl aromatic type hydrocarbon polymer, wherein the peak molecular weight of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon polymer block in the block copolymer (I) is from 30,000 to 80,000, the half-width in the molecular weight distribution curve of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon block is from 1.3 to 2.8, the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon content in the sheet for a carrier tape is from 75 to 95 wt %, and the content of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon polymer component is from 65 to 85 wt %.The sheet for a carrier tape of the present invention is transparent and excellent in the balance of physical properties such as rigidity, impact resistance and heat shrinkability, and therefore, can be suitably used for a carrier tape for packaging an electronic component (e.g., IC, LSI) in an electronic device.

These films have better thickness accuracy, surface smoothness and surface hardness than conventional acrylic resin films, with excellent properties as films for use in simultaneous injection molding and lamination, agricultural films, display films, masking films, paint-substitute films, and the like.

摘要： A process for improving properties of a synthetic resin powder by subjecting a latex of a graft-copolymer whose back bone is a rubber to coagulation, and adding a lubricant to the graft-copolymer in an amount of 0.01 to 10 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of said graft-copolymer, and then removing water. The bulk specific gravity of a synthetic resin powder produced is large, the flowability and blocking resistance are remarkably improved in comparison with known methods and blocking during storage is prevented. Lines for transporting the powder do not become packed with the resin powder. It is possible to automatically weigh the resin powder, and the powder does not exhibit a tendency to increase in volume during mass transport.

摘要： A rubber modified styrene-based resin is provided that is excellent in oil resistance, folding endurance, and tear strength and that is preferably used for a food container and a food container lid member not cracking by repeated fitting. According to the present invention, a rubber modified styrene-based resin is provided that contains rubbery dispersed particles, having a volume median particle diameter from 4.0 to 10 μm and a gel component from 22.0 to 35.0 mass %; a matrix phase having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) from 150 thousand to 300 thousand; and a methanol soluble component from 1.5% to 4.0%.
