摘要： An experimental system for out-of-plane seismic performance of a masonry block wall, comprising: a static test bed (1), a lateral limiting system disposed on one side on the static test bed (1), and a transverse load system disposed on the other side on the static test bed (1), a masonry block wall to be tested (401) being disposed between the lateral limiting system and the transverse load system. The experimental system also comprises a vertical load system disposed above a wall. Also provided is an experimental method using the experimental system for out-of-plane seismic performance of a masonry block wall, on the basis of a quasi-static test method, a horizontal reciprocating actuator is used to simulate an out-of-plane seismic load action; quarter-point loading is implemented by means of a multi-stage shear stress distribution apparatus, then a force is transmitted to a second screw rod (602), and the second screw rod (602) fits an out-of-plane uniformly distributed load into four horizontally-equidistant transversely-concentrated forces and transmits same to a test piece. The present invention has the characteristics of a clear force transmission path, uniform stress distribution, high experimental precision and an accurate result, such that the study of the out-of-plane seismic performance of a component is more accurate and reliable.

摘要： A hybrid wall reinforcement wall anchoring system is described for use in masonry cavity walls. The reinforcement and anchor is hybrid device installed within the backup wall and interlocked with novel veneer ties. The novel veneer ties are wire formatives and are manually connected and interlocked with the anchor. Once interlocked and installed within the cavity wall, lateral, vertical and front-to-back veneer tie movement is limited, strengthening the cavity wall structure. The inclusion of a reinforcement wire within the veneer tie and the exterior wall provides a seismic structure.

摘要： The mortarless brick panel has upper and lower horizontal metal framing tracks with vertical metal wall studs secured therebetween that forms a rectangular frame to which a sheet of expanded metal lath is secured to the face thereof. A sheet of insulation overlays the expanded metal lath and is attached to the frame with screws or other fasteners. The mortarless brick, with a mounting rod protruding from its back side is secured to the panel by hand pressing the mounting rod through the insulation and expanded metal lath and is secured to the expanded metal lath with speed washers or other mechanical fasteners, thereby forming a mortarless brick panel. Time and motion studies have concluded that this mortarless brick can be installed up tp eight times faster than mortar joint brick, providing great savings in erection costs. This savings is used to provide a minimum of four inches of thermal insulation to the exterior walls of the structure to conserve energy and provide great savings to the consumer in heating and cooling costs.

摘要： Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a double sided decorative wall using facing panels having a decorative face surface, in particular dry cast concrete panels having a regular surface structure, more preferably an embossed surface, most preferably a patterned surface. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a double sided decorative wall. The facing panels in the wall are stacked in a back-to-back arrangement into a pair of first and second back-to-back walls, which walls are interconnected by connectors which link at least one facing panel in the first wall to at least one facing panel in the second wall for forming the double sided decorative wall. The connecting members can be in individual connectors, or a combination of connectors for linking multiple facing panels or linking facing panels at corners or curves in the wall. The connectors can be of different length to enable the construction of decorative walls of different thickness. A modular wall system for double sided decorative walls forming both straight and curved walls is also disclosed. The system uses facing panels and connectors, wherein all facing panels are of equal thickness, but may have different lengths and may have different widths. The facing panels of the modular wall system all have graduated lengths, each length being a multiple of a base length L. Thus, the facing panels have lengths of 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L etc. To facilitate the formation of walls with corners, such as right angled corners, the facing panels preferably have a depth which is equal to L or a multiple of L. Building the decorative wall of two partial walls of facing panels with intermediate connectors renders the wall more economical than the previously known walls with base blocks and facing panels suspended from the base blocks on one or both sides.

The crossed ties comprise a rectangular shape wherein opposite corners are joined by straight links which resist shear forces due to wind, storm, tornadoes, landslides or earthquake. They comprise furthermore pegs which attach the blocks two by two when pressing pegs into notches dug on upper or lower surfaces of the blocks or on their sides. The blocks are then made with, notches on upper or lower surfaces of the blocks, and on their sides, which correspond to positions of pressing pegs, to interconnect blocks together. Such pegs are provided to mesh with critical positions in the blocks for stable junctions.

The wall system includes wall studs that are coupled together to form a frame and polyisocyanurate insulation boards that are positioned on an exterior side of the frame to form an exterior wall. The polyisocyanurate foam boards include a polyisocyanurate core having a halogen free fire retardant. Wall boards are attached to an interior side of the frame to form an interior wall. The wall boards are free of a halogenated fire retardant. The wall studs, polyisocyanurate foam boards, and wall board define a plurality of wall cavities within which an insulation material is positioned.
