    • A pre-formed header assembly creates a rough wall opening for a metal door/frame, permitting completion of electrical, ducting, drywall, etc. prior to receiving/installing the door frame. The header is secured to first and second king studs at respective locations positioned beyond a desired door frame location. The header includes four different channels, one of which is utilized at two locations. The first channel has a first length to span between the king studs. The second channel has a second length, and the third channel a third length, which correspond to minimum dimensional requirements for completing the wall. The base of the second and third channels are each fixedly secured to the base of the first channel. The base of the fourth and fifth channels are fixedly secured to the first and second ends of the base of the first channel, respectively, substantially perpendicular thereto, for attachment to the king studs.

    • An occupiable building and a method for constructing an occupiable space in a structural frame building are disclosed. In an embodiment, an occupiable building includes a structural frame defining a footprint of the occupiable building, at least one lower deck structure located within the footprint of the structural frame and supported by the structural frame, at least one upper deck structure located within the footprint of the structural frame and supported by the structural frame, and an interior partition system installed between the lower deck structure and the upper deck structure to define an occupiable space, the occupiable space having a ceiling. The interior partition system includes first king post assemblies, a lower panel, and an upper panel. The lower panel is fastened to the king post assemblies and to the upper panel. The upper panel is fastened to the king post assemblies and to upper panel.

    • A structural member joint structure can easily join members to each other by using a simple structure having a reduced number of parts and can provide the members with a large fastening force which makes the members less likely to be loosened from each other. The joint structure is used to join one pillar and the other pillar to each other such that the other member is vertically abutted against a side face of the one pillar. The structure has a pair of fastening members positioned in the inside of the other pillar and arranged so as to be movable in the widthwise direction of a groove formed in a side face of the one pillar, a nut mechanism located on the inward side of the other pillar and formed between the pair of fastening members, and a bolt operated from the outside through an opening in the other pillar to be fitted into the nut mechanism. Rotating the bolt causes the nut mechanism to urge and move the pair of fastening members in the direction in which the pair is separated from each other. This causes engagement projections respectively arranged on ends of the pair of fastening members to engage with engagement recesses respectively arranged at lateral opposite ends of the groove in the one pillar. Thus, the pillars are joined to each other.

    • A method for forming a joining profile in a structural member comprises providing an assembly having a base member, a forming body and a pair of side anvils having profiles formed therewithin. The method further comprises mounting the structural member on the base member, advancing the forming body toward the structural member such that the structural member is clamped to the base member, urging the side anvils toward flanges of the structural member, forming a profile in each of the flanges, and engaging protrusions of the side anvils with the web such that opposing portions of the web are forced upwardly by the protrusions at locations adjacent to each one of the flange profiles in order to accommodate formation of the flange profiles in the structural member. Formation of the joining profiles in the structural members allows for detachable engagement thereof with another member having a corresponding mating profile.
