    • The invention relates to an expansible fixing plug (1) which consists of at least two different plastics materials, having a main body (2) made of the first plastics material, which is at least partly encased by a casing (3) made of the second plastics material. The main body (2) has an expansion region (5), which extends along a longitudinal axis (L) and has at least two expansion tongues (11, 12) which are separated from one another by a first slot (13), and a sleeve (6) arranged at the front of the expansible fixing plug (1) in the direction of introduction (E). The sleeve (6) is connected to the expansion region (5) and is at least partly encased by a casing body (18) formed by the casing (3). In order to obtain an expansible fixing plug (1) having improved expansion behaviour, it is proposed that on the casing body (18) there be arranged at least one wing element (22) which, starting from the casing body (18), extends cantilever-like in a direction opposite to the direction of introduction (E) and substantially in the longitudinal direction (L).

    • An anchoring system is disclosed, having an anchor where one end is plurality of prongs configured to expand and retain a substrate when engaged by a threaded rod pin and the other end is a partially threaded opening configured to engage the threaded rod pin. The threaded rod pin has a section of exterior threading that will engage with both the coupler and the anchor. A drill depth measuring guide having a hollow threaded holder to accept a dill bit. The holder has a setscrew to secure it to the drill bit and an exterior threaded cylinder to matingly engage a locking nut and a collar that can be threaded onto the holder at various locations to allow for different drill depths.

    • A system (100, 600, 700) for fastening objects to a wall or ceiling (120) comprises a rear, wall-anchor section (105, 607, 705) with a bore, and a front, pivotable section (110, 602, 604, 720), rigidly abutted together with no gap, aligned by a projection (135), and connected by a “living” hinge, strap, flap, lanyard or other type of connector (115). The pivotable section has a sharpened tip (112, 630, 635, 725) for penetrating the wall while the fastener is forced into the wall by a hammer or other driving tool or device, or manually by hand. The two sections of the fastener have a tapered, elliptical cross-section (111) which both prevents rotation of the fastener and locally reduces load-responsive pressure in the wallboard. To install, the axes of the wall-anchor and pivotable sections of the fastener are first aligned. The fastener is forced into the wall one of the above means. Then a pin (140) is manually inserted into the bore of the wall-anchor section. When the pin meets the projection the pivotable section is forced to rotate about the hinge. A locking tooth (139) secures the pin by interfering with either threads or notches in the pin. Alternatively, the pin forces past the projection and wedges between the projection and the bore of the wall-anchor section.

At least a portion of an interior surface of the collet body is threaded to rotationally receive a threaded stud. The stud includes a head, a body portion being at least partially threaded, a distal end and at least one radially extending protrusion at or proximate to the distal end. The protrusion may be circumferentially continuous or discontinuous. The stud body portion is sized to fit through the collet body second end, and to prevent dislocation of the stud from the collet body once inserted in a collet body, the maximum diameter of the stud at the radially extending protrusion is greater than the minimum diameter of any essentially non-elastic portion of the collet body.
