摘要： An open ear clamp having a clamping device like a so-called Oetiker ear. To make the installation of the clamp on a pipe easier, the clamp is pre-deformed, for example, in the course of production, to such an extent that the clamp surrounds the pipe for which the clamp is intended without play. Because of the elasticity produced in the clamp by this pre-deformation, the clamp still can be moved effortlessly to the installation location on the pipe and yet is retained there in the position of the clamp and in the desired orientation.

摘要： According to one embodiment, a hose clamp has a leaf spring body, a slit and a first knob piece at one end, and an insertion piece and a second knob piece at the other end. An interlocking piece is formed in the first knob piece, and an engaging holding part is formed in the second knob piece. When the hose clamp is viewed from the outside in the radial direction while the leaf spring body is in a free state of being compressed, the first knob piece and the second knob piece are extended outward in the width direction so as to be separated.

The tightened condition is locked by toothed portions which mutually engage outside the area of the ear on the side of the ear remote from the outer clamping band end. The clamp may include at least one inward deformation that provides an interference fit between the clamp and the pipe or tube. Consequently, the clamp cannot fall off the pipe or tube before being permanently crimped, and the fitting is prevented from falling out of the tube. In a second embodiment, the clamp includes an ear for crimping the clamp to the tube, and a tongue within the clamp and overlying the mouth of the ear to provide uniform compression around the entire tube. In a third embodiment, the clamp includes stop tabs that hold the pipe at a stand-off from the end of the clamp.

A boot-band 30 comprising (1) a band body 31 that is wound like a ring around a member to be clamped, and that has, at its respective ends, an outer-layer portion 32 that is overlaid over an inner-layer portion 33, (2) engagement holes 34, 35 that are formed in the outer-layer portion 32, (3) engagement pawls 36, 37 that are formed on, and that protrude radially outwardly from, the inner-layer portion 33, and that are to be engaged with the corresponding engagement holes 34, 35 so that the band body is held in a fastened state, (4) a first boot-band pawl 41 that is formed on the inner-layer portion 33 at a location nearer to the longitudinal end of the band body than the engagement holes 34, 35 are, (5) a second boot-band pawl 38 that is formed on the inner-layer portion 33 and that is to be engaged with the first boot-band pawl 41, and (6) a pressure-reduction means 45 that is formed in the outer-layer portion 32 in such a manner that the pressure-reduction means 45 reduces the pressure applied on the engagement pawls 36, 37 of the inner-layer portion 33 when the outer-layer portion 32 climbs over the engagement pawls 36, 37 just before the first and the second boot-band pawls are engaged.
