摘要： Presently disclosed is a lighting system and methods of using the lighting system for in vitro potency assay for photofrin. The lighting system includes a lamp housing, a first lens, an infrared absorbing filter, an optical filter, and a second lens. The lamp housing includes a lamp and a light-port. In operation, broad spectrum light from the lamp exits the lamp housing by passing through the light-port. The first lens then collimates the broad spectrum light that exits the lamp housing through the light-port. The infrared absorbing filter then passes a first portion of the collimated broad spectrum light to the optical filter and absorbs infrared light of the broad spectrum light. The optical filter then passes a second portion of the collimated broad spectrum light to the second lens. The second lens then disperses the second portion of the collimated light to provide uniform irradiation of a cell culture plate. A method of using the lighting system for studying a photosensitizer is also disclosed.

摘要： A vehicle lighting fixture can form a predetermined light distribution pattern at a position horizontally or vertically shifted with respect to a reference position. The vehicle lighting fixture include: a light source; an optical deflector configured to include a mirror part; a rotary reflecting member configured to reflect light having been reflected by the mirror part of the optical deflector; a screen member configured to form a luminance distribution by the light reflected by the rotary reflecting member; an optical system configured to project the luminance distribution formed in the screen member to form the predetermined light distribution pattern; and a rotary control unit configured to control the rotary reflecting member to form the luminance distribution at a reference position or a position shifted with respect to the reference position. The rotary control unit can control any of the rotational direction and the rotational amount of the rotary reflecting member.

摘要： Lens assemblies for use in remote phosphor lighting systems, and methods of making and using them, are described. The lens assemblies typically include a lens member, a dichroic reflector attached to an outer surface of the lens member, and a phosphor layer attached to an inner surface of the lens member. The dichroic reflector reflects LED light originating from a given source point in a reference plane proximate the inner surface to a given image point in the reference plane. The phosphor layer may be patterned to cover one or more first portions of the inner surface and to expose one or more second portions, and/or the phosphor layer may be removably bonded to the inner surface. The lens assemblies can be readily combined with one or more short wavelength (e.g. blue) LEDs and other components to provide a remote phosphor lighting system.

An asymmetric optic device generates output light by total internal reflection (TIR) of the light from the optical source, intensity of the output light being asymmetric with respect to an axis of the asymmetric optic device. A diffuser receives and diffuses the output light from the asymmetric optic device to generate diffused light. A cover lens receives the diffused light from the diffuser. The cover lens has an etched portion for scattering a portion of the diffused light to generate an output light pattern, the output light pattern having an intensity profile that is asymmetric with respect to the axis of the asymmetric optic device.
