摘要： A rain gutter illumination system having a cover for attaching to a rain gutter with an aperture along the substantial length of the cover, and opposing recesses for retaining a decorative insert. When the decorative insert is inserted in the cover, it is held in place by the recesses, and a light source and optional diffusing panel may be arranged in the cover so that the light source projects light through the aperture of the illuminable surface. The light source may be remotely controllable using a wireless remote control device, such as a smart phone over a network connection.

摘要： An exterior molding system adapted to provide decoratively illuminated lighting for a building and which incorporates first and second lighting panels each having a plurality of illuminating devices. The lighting panels are attachable to a soffit that is itself attached to a building. The second light panel is hinged to the first light panel so as to enable the second light panel to be deployed either opened or folded up under the first light panel. The second light panel includes illuminating devices that are visible when the second light panel is opened and that are hidden when the second light panel is folded under the first light panel. A remote control panel is in electrical communication with the illuminating devices. The control panel receives electrical power and selectively powers at least one (1) illuminating device.

摘要： A multi-view architectural lighting (MVAL) system includes one or more multi-view lighting units (“MV lights”) in which the apparent brightness and color of each MV light is individually and simultaneously controllable for different viewing angles. The MV lights can be pointed in arbitrary directions and installed in arbitrary locations in 3D space with respect to one another, consistent with the structure of a building, etc. This enables a lighting designer to create differentiated lighting experiences for different viewers based on their viewing angle with respect to the MV lights. A calibration system maps viewing locations to emitted light directions for each MV light. Using this information, the appearance of each MV light from a given viewing location relative to that MV light is set by adjusting the light (e.g., typically color and intensity, etc.) emitted in the corresponding direction/directions.

The apparatus allows the string of lights to be hung simultaneously with a hanging bracket or clip suitable for hanging the lights from a gutter or shingles. A clamp, actuated between an open and closed position, securely holds the light string by a socket rather than the wire string, while the light string is being hung. The clamp preferably includes prongs oriented in different directions, one direction adapted for hanging a string of lights with a hook-type hanging bracket and the other direction adapted for use with a clip-type hanger. A protective body covers the bulb while the light string is being hung.

摘要： A clip for holding decorative lights has a clamp portion and a light holding portion connected by a bridge. The light holding portion and the bridge lie in a common plane and are formed as a unitary plastic body. The clamp portion has a leg tapered at one end and a second end which is connected to a bridge portion that holds the bridge and is connected to a clamping arm forming a corner which has an opening. A hook is provided on the end of the arm which defines a space of sufficient size to receive a rope light. The arm and the hook are sized and configured so that the leg and the hook can engage opposite surfaces of the roofing shingle. The light holding portion can be broken away from the clamp portion. Then the two pieces can be connected together in a different configuration.
