    • According to one embodiment, a range for cooking includes a combustion chamber having a bottom surrounded by sidewalls that extend upward to an upper rim, a gas burner positioned at the bottom, and a platen positioned on the upper rim. The platen has an opening above the gas burner with a first flange. The range further includes a removable outer plate positioned on the first flange. The removable outer plate has an opening above the gas burner with a second flange. The range further includes a removable inner plate positioned on the second flange. The removable inner plate is circular and is made of cast iron. The removable outer plate is configured to increase the thermal resistance between the removable inner plate and the platen by having at least one of a different composition, thickness, and limited contact area than or with the platen.

    • A gas heater includes a support unit, a burner unit, a venting unit and a frame guider. The burner unit includes an ignition unit, a hollow and transparent radiant unit defining a cavity in which the flame guider is positioned, a heat reflector and a burner top cover. The radiant unit comprises a bottom unit with inlet air passages through which an air flow into the radiant unit cavity is created. Then, the frame guider, which has a preset structure such as a spiral and a cone structure and a plurality of guider through-holes, is arranged for guiding and generating a flame pattern which is visible through the radiant unit. The venting unit, which is connected to the radiant unit in an air-tight manner, then provides an air exit. Accordingly, energy utilization is increased and visible flame pattern assemble to real flame can be seen.

    • An outdoor gas heater used in the field is provided. The outdoor gas heater includes a primary combustion net having a dual net structure. A wind-proof cover is provided to protect a thermocouple. Fuel gas is concentrated into a fuel gas discharge hole formed in the wind-proof cover so that an initial ignition performance is improved. A support is provided to support the outdoor gas heater from the top surface of a gas container. A fuel gas inlet tube is vertically installed between a head unit and a safety valve while being spaced apart from an adjustment handle, and a fire extinguishing safety device is provided behind the fuel gas inlet tube, so that the fire extinguishing safety device is hidden by the fuel gas inlet tube, thereby minimizing a volume of the gas heater without degrading aesthetic appearance of the gas heater.

    • A variable input, radiant tube heater includes the usual housing containing a burner tube, a reflector connected to the housing, a fuel line into the housing and a pressure regulator in the fuel line. The blower is operated by a 24 volt motor and a transformer remote from the heater. Fuel flow is regulated by a regulator including a valve in the fuel line, a valve operator and an electrical control connected to the operator.     • A radiant heater which burns LPG fuel is provided with an improved burner assembly and an improved support assembly for mounting the heater on a propane tank. The heater includes a frame, a reflector mounted on the frame, and a burner assembly which is removably mounted within the reflector and the frame. The burner assembly includes a burner tube having an inlet end mounted within the frame and an outlet end positioned within the reflector. A generally dome-shaped screen is mounted on the outlet end of the burner tube, and a generally circular screen is attached to the dome-shaped screen substantially in alignment with the burner tube. A burner pan is mounted on the burner tube and surrounds the dome-shaped screen, and an outer screen extends across the burner pan. A thermocouple sensor and/or an igniter electrode on the frame extends through one or more openings in the burner pan. A single fastener prevents removal of the burner assembly from the frame, and when the fastener is disengaged from the burner assembly, the burner assembly can be removed and replaced. The support assembly includes a rigid support member which extends downwardly from the frame and is releasably engageable with an LPG tank. In one embodiment the support member is a fuel conduit which is connectable to a fuel valve on the LPG tank. A support bracket is adjustably mounted on the fuel conduit and is engageable with the top of the LPG tank.

Air seal can be provided by narrow curtain of air extending around internal faces of burner body. Annealing lehr is desirably provided with gas-fired infra-red irradiation, and can have heat losses reduced by diminishing amount of metal used as in a conveyor to move workpieces through.
