摘要： An upper receiver and barrel assembly includes an upper receiver, a barrel assembly and a gas piston assembly. An upper receiver housing receives a shotgun shell cartridge and the bolt carrier group includes a bolt carrier, a bolt within the bolt carrier, a firing pin and an ejector pin to expel fired shells. The barrel assembly includes a barrel, a barrel extension and a barrel nut to secure the barrel and barrel extension to the upper receiver housing. The gas piston assembly includes a piston body, a piston end cap and a piston bonnet configured to slidably receive the piston end cap therein. A piston gap is defined between the piston end cap and the bonnet end wall. The barrel defines a gas port fluidly connecting the open bore of the barrel with the piston gap. A biasing member urges the piston toward the bonnet.

摘要： A system for firing reduced energy cartridges from a modern sporting rifle utilizes a bolt assembly weighing less than a conventional bolt assembly for such rifles and utilizes blow back for cycling the bolt assembly rather than gas operation. A bolt insert in a polymer bolt carrier of the bolt assembly has a projection that fits within a recess on the rear face of reduced energy cartridges. The reduced energy cartridges having a polymer casing, a rimfire power load for propellant, the power load recessed from the rear face of the casing. The power load seats in in the casing surrounded by a reinforcement liner embedded in the polymer casing.

摘要： An upper receiver assembly for a firearm having an upper receiver with an integral barrel nut, a handguard assembly and a barrel nut assembly with a barrel and lock nut is provided. 摘要： A buttstock assembly configured to work in conjunction with a compact buffer assembly consisting of a buffer tube, spring and bolt carrier with an integral buffer is provided. The buttstock assembly, buffer tube and bolt carrier are configured to work with AR15/M16 type firearms and their derivatives. By incorporating the buffer onto the bolt carrier, which is used in conjunction with a buffer tube of reduced length, the overall length of the host firearm is reduced by approximately 3.2 inches. No permanent modification need be made to the host firearm in order to utilize the compact buffer assembly and buttstock assembly disclosed herein.

摘要： Quick take-down firearms and methods of using quick-take down firearms. The quick-take down includes an upper receiver coupling and a barrel coupling. The quick take-down can be unlocked by sliding a sliding lock collar in a translational motion to an unlocked position to release locking elements from a locked configuration. In the unlocked position, a barrel and handguard may be installed onto and removed from the upper receiver of the firearm. Releasing the sliding lock collar returns it to a locked position, securing the barrel and handguard to the upper receiver.

A rear portion of the barrel includes a follower lug and a rear lug extending from an underside of the rear portion. The follower lug further includes a follower notch. The rear lug is configured to be supported by a portion of a locking block of the firearm prior to firing and during a portion of the recoil period. The modifications to the barrel assembly result in increased dwell time and accuracy of the firearm.

摘要： A gas operating system for automatic cycling of a pistol-caliber firearm is disclosed. The disclosed system may be configured to utilize gas produced by combustion of pistol cartridge propellant to automatically cycle the firearm. To that end, the disclosed system may include a gas block which routes high-pressure gas from the barrel through a gas port to a piston. The location of the gas port may be selected to lie within a region of the barrel which generally corresponds with the peak of the pressure curve associated with a given pistol cartridge. The high-pressure gas may impinge on the piston head, forcing the piston rearward and into physical contact with a short-stroke operating rod affixed to the bolt carrier of the host firearm. Consequently, the bolt carrier may be driven rearward, allowing for cycling of the firearm to progress.

摘要： An automatic handgun has an additional trigger mechanism and a sight. In one version, a draw bar in the butt is hinged to a rotatable fork and to the additional trigger, located on the left of the butt in an L-shaped groove. Upon rotating the fork the spring extends onto the left of the butt, and when the butt is closed onto a catch, the end of the fork grips the main trigger. Rotatable posts lie on the sight. Alternatively, a rotatable lever sits on the lower front of the breech. The lever has a post on which the additional trigger which fixes the horizontal and vertical positions is hinged, and is connected to the main trigger by a draw bar through the inside left of the breech. Shooting accuracy increases and the overall dimensions are reduced.

The firearm comprises a receiver assembly adapted to receive a cartridge, a bolt assembly including a firing device operable to fire the cartridge, a barrel adapted to receive the projectile after the cartridge is fired, and a gas assembly including a gas tube. The receiver assembly includes an upper receiver portion, a lower receiver portion, and an upper receiver cover. The upper receiver portion defines a longitudinal axis, and an indexing slot operable to receive the gas tube. The upper receiver portion includes at least one integrated exterior track extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis adapted to slidably couple with the upper receiver cover and a plurality of interior tracks extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis adapted to slidably couple with the bolt assembly. The upper and lower receiver portions are pivotally connected to one another.
