摘要： A compact inspection assembly comprising digital sensors and/or laser measurement systems to validate attributes of pipe and associated threaded connections. An elongate body member is partially inserted into a central bore of a pipe section. A stabilizing centralizer assembly is selectively expanded to engage against the inner surface of the pipe section and prevent axial and rotational movement of the body section relative to the pipe section. An automated sensor assembly, attached to the body member and positioned in proximity to a threaded connection, measures data regarding the pipe and associated threaded connections. The measured and recorded data can be compared to predetermined standards (such as, for example, original equipment manufacturer and/or end user specifications or requirements) to verify pipe/connection compliance with desired standards.

摘要： A testing device for testing an inner surface of a rotationally symmetrical cavity in a workpiece has a measuring head which defines an axial direction, and on which an optical system is situated. The optical system is in image transmission connection with an image recorder and a downstream evaluation apparatus. The testing device also has an illumination arrangement for illuminating an imaging area of the inner surface which is detected by the optical system. The illumination arrangement is designed and configured for illuminating the inner surface which is detected by the optical system. The illumination arrangement can illuminate the inner surface to be tested from different illumination directions in order to generate shadow images of the topography of the inner surface. The evaluation apparatus is designed and configured for determining the topography based on the shadow images recorded by the image recorder.

摘要： Methods and systems for efficient and accurate inspection of tubular goods are disclosed. Inner and outer diameter measurements of a tubular good along the entire length are obtained using laser or other light measurement systems. Discrete sections of a tubular good can be identified. For each section, at least one measurement of an outer diameter of an outside surface of the discrete section, and at least one measurement of an inner diameter of an inside surface of the discrete section are obtained. In addition, a geometric center coordinate for each discrete section of the tubular good is obtained. The measurements defining the outside surface, inside surface, and geometric center in association with the longitudinal position of each discrete section are recorded.

摘要： A test system for examining a hollow body, in particular a cylinder bore in an engine block, comprises a measuring apparatus comprising an elongate body and a plurality of sensors which are connected to the body and are set up to carry out a distance measurement. The test system also comprises electronic control means which are set up to move the measuring apparatus into a hollow body to be examined and to determine an internal diameter of the hollow body on the basis of distance measurement data from the sensors. In order to examine hollow bodies of different diameters, at least some of the sensors are in the form of movable sensors which can be moved relative to the elongate body of the measuring apparatus. The electronic control means are also set up to select a measuring position of the movable sensors relative to the elongate body on the basis of a hollow body to be examined. A calibration station is provided and the electronic control means are set up to carry out a calibration process for the movable sensors. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

Light is directed through the container base into the container, and out of the container through the container mouth, using at least one light source disposed beneath the container base. A plurality of images of the container mouth is obtained from the light transmitted through the container mouth. Minimum bore diameters of the container mouth are calculated from the plurality of images, and an overall lowest minimum bore diameter (OLMBD) of the minimum bore diameters is identified. A value other than the OLMBD is determined to be an effective minimum bore diameter of the container mouth.
