Embodiments of the invention enable combining various distinct pulses that may have been optimized for respective applications to form a transmitter waveform for conducting a geological survey. In effect, the embodiments of the present invention provides an EM system that is substantially equivalent to multiple EM systems operating at the same time for collecting data in relation to different aspects of the geology of interest. Advantageously, the benefits of the present invention can be obtained without the undesirable complexity and cost associated with the simultaneous deployment of multiple EM systems.

The indentations extend along the longitudinal axis, and may be arranged helically about the longitudinal axis. The buoyant member may have a low density core material and a dense outer material, each of which may be a polymeric material. The low density material may be a foam, and the buoyant member may be formed by coextruding the low density material and the dense outer material.

摘要： A method, a system and an apparatus of semi-permeable terrain geophysical data acquisition is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of geophysical data acquisition over a semi-permeable terrain includes placing an apparatus housing geophysical data measuring instruments over a semi-permeable terrain. The method adjusts and calibrates low frequency unshielded dipole antennas with a transmitter and a receiver in a pre-determined interval distance depending on central frequency. The method selects a time data trigger type and/or a unit data trigger type to scan and/or trace where a data signal is sent to a ground at selected intervals. The method causes a linear movement of the apparatus over the semi-permeable terrain. The method determines an optimal position for geophysical data acquisition over the semi-permeable terrain. Further, the method captures geophysical data with measuring instruments housed on the apparatus.

摘要： An apparatus for airborne electromagnetic surveying is provided, comprising a central hub defining an equatorial plane, a transmitter loop, and radials connecting the hub to the transmitter loop. The loop generally lies in a plane during flight, and comprises loop sections, some of which are connected with flexible joints allowing the loop to flex out of the plane during lift-offs and landings. A loop section comprises current conducting elements connected to current conducting elements of adjacent loop sections forming a transmitter loop circuit. A radial connects to the hub at a point that is substantially offset from the transmitter loop plane, thereby contributing to the stability of the transmitter loop connection point in an up-down direction relative to the hub. Additionally, a loop section comprising rigid conductive elements retained in a spaced-apart relationship by a frame member is also provided.

摘要： A non-invasive method of buried-utility-mapping includes using a long wavelength gradiometric ground penetrating radar to “see” patches of conductive material below ground and buried pipes and electrical conductors that are all constantly radio-illuminated by local AM radio broadcasts. The underground infrastructure of entire cities can be surveyed this way, point-by-point over time. A short wavelength part of the gradiometric ground penetrating radar operates shoulder-to-shoulder with the magnetic part and is able to improve shallow object resolution, map moisture build-ups under roads, and spot contaminated soils. Two gradiometric ground penetrating radar technologies, cameras, and navigation receivers can be mounted on city vehicles and a daily collection of their data batch transformed by digital processing algorithms into detailed and automatically updating false-color maps of the underground utilities of the whole city and other buried infrastructures.
