    • An exposure control apparatus has a photometry unit for measuring the brightness at a plurality of divisional areas of a subject screen. A correct exposure time is calculated in accordance with signals obtained by measuring the brightness at the plurality of divisional areas with the photometry unit when a shutter blade is closed. A light-receiving aperture is formed in the shutter blade. The photometry unit or another photometry unit is disposed at the back of the shutter blade to thereby measure light from the subject screen as the shutter blade is opened. When the measured value takes a value corresponding to the exposure time, the shutter blade is closed.

The electromagnetic device is deenergized after a predetermined period of exposure time controlled by the delay circuit to complete the exposure by releasing the armature to return to the resting position and by actuating the previously strained driving spring to drive the shutter blade to close the shutter aperture.A trigger switch is closed simultaneously with the attraction of the armature to energize the delay circuit.

The interlock lever is positioned at its rest position when the exposure time setting cam is set to its high speed adjusting position so that the control member successively releases the opening pawl and the closing pawl while the interlock lever is positioned at its working position when the exposure time setting cam is set to its middle speed adjusting position so that the motion of the control member is delayed by the governor after the opening member is released from the opening pawl by the control member before the opening member actuates the interlock lever to release the closing member.
