    • Disclosed an image forming apparatus equipped with an exposure section including a plurality of LED elements, the apparatus forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body with the exposure section, the apparatus including: an RFID tag provided in the exposure section, the RFID tag including a light quantity correction data storing section and a communication section to perform wireless communication; an RFID reader/writer to perform the wireless communication with the RFID tag; a control section to allow the RFID reader/writer to perform the wireless communication with the RFID tag so as to read or write the light quantity correction data from/to the light quantity correction data storing section of the RFID tag during a period when no processing related to the image data is being performed; and a storage section to store the read light quantity correction data.

    • A module monitoring system and related method includes a plurality of nodes and a server component. Each node of the plurality of nodes is in operative communication with a network and with at least one RFID attached to a module. Each node of the plurality of nodes is a node type and at least two nodes of the plurality of nodes are different node types. A node of the at least two nodes is a printer-based node and is associated with a printing machine. The node associated with the printing machine is also in operative communication with a local RFID tag attached to a corresponding module. The server component includes a network interface and an analysis component. The network interface is in operative communication with the network and communicates with the at least two nodes utilizing the network. The analysis component utilizes the network interface to communicate with the node such that the analysis component is additionally in operative communication with the local RFID tag attached to the corresponding module. The node associated with the printing machine operatively interrogates the local RFID tag to retrieve information relating to the corresponding module and communicates the information to the server component.

    • In a case where a qualified cartridge is not mounted, a toner supply controller stops driving of a toner supply motor. A controller calculates the toner density in a toner tank in accordance with a detection signal of a TC sensor to determine whether the toner density is within an allowable range. In a case where the toner density is out of the allowable range, the toner supply controller allows the toner supply motor to start driving. After that, in a case where the toner density in the toner tank becomes high, a cartridge mounting status determining section determines that a non-qualified cartridge is mounted. On the other hand, in a case where the toner density in the toner tank does not change or becomes lower, the cartridge mounting status determining section determines that the cartridge is not yet mounted.
